Awesome Arch, thanks for uploading those.  Should put TM1pc in the spotlight a little bit.  However, like I said, playing the game isn't as controllable as most would like it.  Which is probably why it never got a full release to begin with.

On behalf [hopefully!] of Arch I'll post these photos. Should save him the time of having to send them to everyone who requests it:

Looks great, really.

Two things are a concern.

One being, how the hell are we going to get this going for everyone?

Two being, assuming we get it all going, can we not turn the TM1PC Community into an elitist community like the TM2PC Community did?

I guess I really want to know how the game handles. That's always been my biggest concern with the first game, the cars didn't exactly turn very well. It took quite a bit of getting used to. Especially after playing the later games in the series and trying to go back to the original. How are the controls for the PC Port?

Thanks mate!

Really appreciate that.

Anyway, I still haven't played it myself (that is my friend who managed to get it running on his XP machine who is playing it in the vids).

It looks very nice actually- as crisp as TM2. I like now how when you die you do the ped scream which is new.

I actually tried running this on an XP machine and it wouldn't work, a problem with DirectX it said.

btw, the reaon there is no music in the vids is because I took a copy using the windows copier thing and it just copied the files as-is, which meant the game copied over ok but the music files didn't.

I got Nero yesterday and it copies perfectly now...

EDIT: About the multiplayer, I need to check it out. I went through the text files in the game and it mentioned '2 player duel', and a password screen. Well strangely as you can see in the vids thats not how the options and title screen is set out- it must be some early text of when the game was going to be more identical to the PS version.

The word is that the game is 4 player so that would be interesting to try and get going.

I'm just happy to see that the game is in no way identical to the PS version so it's likely that there'll be little changes here and there like with the PC TM2. Once I get it running on a system of my own (might wipe vista just for this) I'll be spending as much time as I can on it.

Yea. Being a pretty big comic book fan I'd love to get a copy of that TM2 comic. Does anyone on the site actually own a copy?

Speaking of rare Twisted Metal related merchandise. Wasn't there like a portable version of Twisted Metal 2 made?

I think there was a TM for gameboy... that, and you can download TM 1 +2 for PSP off torrent sites (Or buy TM2 (But Japan got TM1 too))

TM1PC multiplayer has already been tested to death, and it is even buggier than TM2PC. Meaning getting even 2 players to successfully play together hardly works. The levels and cars are also incompatible and couldn't be ripped and put into TM2PC. This is what I remember from like 6 years ago so I could be missing some details as well.

Does anyone still want this btw?

If someone shows me how to upload to a server/webspace whatever you're welocme to it.

I don't know if the music uploads with the game though.

I think there was a problem.

Maybe if I manually add the music tracks to the folder?
