This movie scared me as a kid on a scale of 1-10 being a 6 or 7. Nothing like Event Horizon and such, but at the time it was more of a image thing, and less of a understanding of the story. Probably because any 10 year old, or however old I was, doesn't have much of an attention span.

A recent straight-to-video sequel was released in 2009 that I just watched on tv. It was o.k. Story was still good. It really prompted me to watch the first one and man it's a great story, and movie. I think it's worth a reboot, and since everything old is new again I'm sure at some point they will remake it, because it was such an awesome story.
