https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FuutoSTXsAYa4s_?format=jpg&name=largeThe poster features the Sweet Tooth vehicle in a design very similar to the 2012 design, or a variation of that, as there are spikes on the front bumper. I am actually a little disappointed they didn't add anything to the design that I can see. I mean, I respect they went with an existing look, but it's been over a decade since the PS3 game, it would have been nice to see some evolution in design for Sweet Tooth (the vehicle).
Also on the poster is John Doe, played by Anthony Mackie, driving a blue and white painted vehicle, not enough detail to see exactly the car type, but the painting style makes me think of Spectre/Specter although I don't think it is that vehicle. It's more likely the show's version of Roadkill, as John Doe was associated with a vehicle named Roadkill in Twisted Metal: Black, but it has more of a generic car design, like Death Warrant. In fact it even has a front hood like Death Warrant... so it's basically John Doe driving a version of Death Warrant with a Spectre-ish paint job but it will probably be called Roadkill.
As for John Doe himself, that facial expression doesn't exactly make me think of a man suffering memory loss, more like the look of someone who wants to race.
The logo "Twisted Metal" is pretty standard; nothing really new except the purple coloring which makes me think of Shadow. There are missiles shooting up in the sky above the logo, and while they look more like the Nuke missiles I would imagine they are likelier fire/homing missiles (missing their signature color).
There are a couple generic looking vehicles in the background as well, and they look near identical. I wonder if they are the agent characters, Agent Stone & Agent Shepherd? Hopefully not, I want to see a shiny red Crimson Fury. Seeing 2 random generic cars on the poster worries me, as TM vehicles should have creative designs, but maybe these are 2 extra cars for the sake of the poster and not actual characters.
Lastly, there appears to be a city in the far background. I would guess that is New San Francisco. I'm surprised they went with SF over LA. LA was the Twisted Metal spot. San Francisco makes me think of Rogue Trip Vacation 2012 more. Maybe Rogue Trip inspired the decision, who knows.
Anyway, that's the news. Tomorrow (4/28) the official trailer will come out, and the release date for Peacock's Twisted Metal is July 27th
