Really, RK, Animorphs? Were you a fan of the book series?
I thought about putting it on the poll, but I just didn't think anyone would vote for it. Most people don't even realize it is a Singletrac game because it's the only platformer they made and the only game they made based off someone else's property. Beyond the soundtrack by Chuck Myers/Tom Hopkins, which I think is better than the game itself, there isn't much there to make one think of Singletrac. But to be fair I haven't given that game a full playthrough. I couldn't really get into it, but maybe it's because I'm not even familiar with the book series. Also, if you look at the game credits there were a bunch of new team members, loads of rookies, and very few team members from the past games, aside from a few people in the visual arts department, the composer/producer of the soundtrack, and 1 guy on the business side of things.
What happened was Incognito Entertainment was founded in May 1999 by guys who branched out of Singletrac, and Animorphs was released on September 2000, so the key Singletrac members were pretty much gone by that point.
I also forgot to add Singletrac's "Outwars" (PC Exclusive - when Singletrac worked with Sony's enemy Microsoft), and "Streak: Hoverboard Racing" on the poll. I haven't played either, but they look cool, as you can see yourself in youtube videos. Not sure if they are worthy of the poll though. Outwars is a "military science fiction selectable perspective tactical shooter" (sounds almost like StarHawk - but jetpack combat is a better description) that had 8 player online multiplayer and was critically praised at the time but clearly forgotten in modern times, and Streak looked like Jet Moto mixed with 3Xtreme
which is cool too, but didn't get good reviews from critics.
Anybody at TMA ever play either of them?
