Because I like car porn and because I don't remember what the original was called sadly.

I recently came into some misfortune with my car, with someone else driving. Me being the stubborn ass I am I refuse to give it up.

I own a 1991 Dodge Daytona (Not to be confused with the better Daytona Charger.)

...
(Not my car pictured but same model and color.)

Unfortunately the driver side quarter panel saw a pole and the wind shield said hi to a sign. Naturally anybody would be pissed if this happened to their car, but I am not.

Person driving had a medical emergency that incapacitated them while driving.

But long story short, I figured I would share my journey as I repair this car back to its glory and hopefully ditch some rust.

Oh yeah, Great thing about these cars. Mechanical parts are easy as hell to find. Actual body not so fucking much. So here goes nothin.

Good luck. Reminds me of my Honda. My first car was an Accord and my driver's door got fucked up by my girlfriend. We were at the post office dropping off a package at the mailbox outside and the car starting rolling forward a little bit. She freaked out, thought the car was going to roll forward into the curb, and tried to throw the car into park. Instead, she put it into reverse, and my open door got caught between the two metal mailboxes. Fucked up the door, side mirrors and the front left quarter panel.

This was my windshield after the accident.  Fun fact: I was in the passenger seat.

...

I'm leaving the because it's funny as fuck to me.

Real picture:

...

Finally got the windshield completely out today. New one will go in tomorrow.

...

Edit because phone pasted the wrong link.

It's needs some maintaining, but it's not a totally unreliable. Great on the highway.

This is my daily driven 1995 Nissan 240SX. Got this thing about a year ago and have been fixing it up since. Started out as an Automatic car from a Grandma that got passed to a mechanic for his wife. Since then, its been manual swapped and the green car beside it is another 95 240SX thats going to be a donor for the tan car’s SR20DET swap. Right now the tan one is pretty much bone stock besides coilovers and wheels. Its a base model but its been 5 lug swapped when the manual swap was done. After market rear suspension components in the back to straighten up the camber after coilover installation. The green car has the Z32 300ZX brake conversion done which will be swapped onto the tan car.

On the green car for transfer is a Mishimoto radiator and dual fan shroud, SR20DET engine with stock turbo at 8psi, Greddy Intercooler, intake and full exhaust with cat delete and Greddy Blow Off Valve. Dyno’d at 221HP with 201 ft/lbs torque. Not too much, but just enough for it to be fun....
Here’s the green one (wheels were transferred to the tan car)

I have another one that was the donor for the Manual on the tan car. Its named BUPOS, short for big ugly piece of shit. Its getting parted out. No title “owned by a couple 15 year olds” drift missile. Poor thing. ...

I have never once given a Honda Civic a thought. Not because they are bad cars, but because they never really seemed to catch my eye. But the latest model in red looks pretty sharp to me.

...

...

I actually saw one sitting on the city street in this "Rallye Red" and had to turn to look at it. I was surprised it was a civic. Pictures really don't do that red justice.

So odd thing. Caught this car driving by the other day and liked the sporty look of it. Unfortunately its a four banger with relatively low torque. (never met a four cylinder with a ton of torque anyway.) Much to my surprise this car is actually 3 different cars: Subaru brz, Scion frs and Toyota 86 (Now that Toyota has absorbed Scion.)

The point of these little four bangers are to be affordable sports cars for the mass market. I was first introduced to the BRZ in the video game The Crew, but never really paid it any mind, it being a video game. I did however find the car attractive.

2017 Subaru BRZ:

...

Rear of a 2018:

...

2013 Scion FRS:

...

...

2018 Toyota 86:

...

...

I think I prefer the more aggressive Scion front end, but the other two look good in their own right, if not close to the same.

The FRS/BR-Z/86’s new design is the spiritual successor of the original Sprinter Trueno AE86. It was popularized through it’s late 80s-90s Japanese racing/drifting fame.

I saw the concept art for the Trans Am a few years back and was wondering what became of it. That is really awesome someone decided to make a business out of it, and make it a reality. I loved the Trans Am. Gorgeous car. And yes, Bandit almost made me cream.

I wish it wasn't made out of a Camaro though. I understand why but, it personally doesn't sit with me. I get it. Doing it that way is obviously way more cost effective than building from frame and body up to original specs from back in the day. I was honestly surprised that base start was 75k TBH. So I'm sure for 100k you'd get a serious monster.

Either way, it's nice to know it's a reality. Just have to hit 6 correct numbers.....
