In TM1 after you have used up all the health stations, they will all respawn at the same time but the time it takes for them to come back is random.

oh that's right they would eventually respawn. it would take a long time though, so for the most part you couldn't depend on it a whole lot. i only remember needing that much health against Minion because Minion is a beast.

still i'd rather a limited health station ala tm1 & Black than the TMX health station semi that can't be destroyed, can ram players to death & give them near regular opportunities to get full health. that makes 989s choices seem genius in comparison.

This was a great idea for a thread. Having grown up in the early 2000ss, I sort of missed out on hype of TM 1 and 2 when they released. I was like 5 when Black came out.

I really don't think there was hype for Twisted Metal until the second one came out. From most accounts the original was a surprise hit. The second game became a hit because it capitalized on everything the original game set up. Meanwhile I vividly remember the excitement around Black's release. Between this site and the magazine spreads I couldn't wait to play a new Twisted Metal and by the original creators no less. I still remember the promotional website and the PlayStation Underground video. Eventually I did get the game that summer and I remember being blown away and actually slightly frightened by how fast the game ran in comparison to the previous entries.
