For those that have played all three versions of TM2, what differences were there both positive and negative? TMPC had higher graphical fidelity and higher frame rate id imagine, but what else was there? Was the gameplay any different being on different hardware? Were there any positives that the retail or beta PSOne versions had over the others? Was there any notable differences in gameplay in the beta? I know most of this can be googled, but a discussion would be cooler and so are first hand experiences.

I take the PSX retail version as the final version and the others as extra versions. The PC version had something weird with the turning of the car, like if you're firing the machine gun you can't steer to the left (I really can't remember, it felt weird even using one of these https://media.linio.com.co/p/huskee-4922-8711251-2-product.jpg)

The beta version I can't remember a lot. The AA used different combinations, but overall it was similar to the retail psx version.

1. The stage select pictures were different in the beta.

2. Axel is wearing shorts.

3. The cars had different stats.

4. The cars are brighter in the character select screen.

5. Hammerhead's special doesn't stop you from moving on contact with another car. You can run over the car.

6. Mr. Slam's special has no RNG and will always deal big damage. Mr. Slam tosses the opponent upward instead of forward.

7. Sweet Tooth's special comes out from the head instead of the front of the car. It has no homing.

8. You can change the camera to make it view the enemies. It's the same camera as the demo.

9. The windmill placement in Holland is different.

10. It shows a 3 where the number of lives is.

A few things Luis forgot:

1. Dark Tooth's head spins in a clean 360 instead of the wild way.

2. The Sweet Tooth laugh is in a different pitch when the Napalm Cone is fired from Dark Tooth.

3. Most special weapons have different sound pitches.

4. There is an extra stand in Los Angeles, selling maps instead of hot dogs like the other two. The fountains cannot be destroyed.

5. The pedestrian scream has the same pitch as the male death scream.

6. A wild collision with opponent vehicles will cause the camera to act buggy. Only by completing the level will the camera fix for the next stage. Although, turning the vehicle will still make things difficult to see; the camera will not follow until the turn is complete.

7. Some steamboats at Hong Kong will fire napalm at you. Also, you can destroy the gate so anyone will drive onto the water and burn to death. Perhaps this was changed due to propaganda reasons.

I remember one more thing from the beta. If you're playing deathmatch in New York and you die in the pool, you respawn with the car in blue tones like it's  still in the pool.

A couple of the beta concepts actually sound a little better. Like Hammerhead going over the opponent and ST's special not homing. Im sure there are pros and cons to both.

Another thing I noticed is some enemies tend to run away from you, and I've seen them use turbo sometimes, in the beta version.
