Because my little brother ruined our copy of that game back in the days, I ended up playing mostly TM4 in my youth, thus I now have only faint memories of TM2, if any at all...
So, with the game's legendary status in mind, I recently noticed that it is available on the psn for only 6 bucks !!!
Therefore, aside from being
inexplicably excited about playing a 20 year old video game, I also have some concerns about the purchase, even though it costs only a symbolic prize ATM.
My question is primarily directed towards other TM fans who got the game for the ps3 first (if there are any of them present on this forum), since they won't be affected by nostalgic reasons while grading the game. I must underline that I don't really care about visuals, but I'm interested in knowing whether the gameplay still holds up today, or these two decades have made the game unplayable for someone who mostly plays modern games ?
Also, take note that only three months ago, I purchased both Suikoden 2 and Castlevania Sotn from the psn, and didn't have any trouble whatsoever in enjoying both of them extensively, cuz they are flawless in terms of gameplay, and one can't help but admire the genius in their overall game design.
Will I get the same feeling from Twisted Metal 2 ?(Also, please don't refrain from answering my question simply because you got the game during the ps1 era, every insight on the game is helpful and will contribute towards my final decision about the purchase
)
