Unfortunately, at least in terms of Twisted Metal and having the original team, this is bad news, not good news. This new studio is devoted to perfecting "mixed reality."
What is mixed reality?
Imagine if you were playing the classic game of Monopoly. You're sitting around the board with family and friends ready to play. Then, each of you pull out a pair of glasses and suddenly 3D representations of your car and your family suddenly appear on the board along with fully 3d buildings.
THAT is mixed reality. In other words, very different from what Sony and video game companies do so there is just about zero chance of significant crossover.
I also wonder if this means that Eat, Sleep, Play has gone out of business.
That would be kind of sad, even though the company hasn't done anything I was personally interested in in a while.
