My brother is working on the blazing scalp sprite, though it is very difficult to manage. But anyway, as for this setting, this is actually the first battleground we are working on. The Island map is the first in story mode, where every character's story begins when they are shipwrecked. The prison ship carrying them as patients for Blackfield Asylum when out of control after Calypso secretly sabotaged it, thus crashing upon this island. The prisoners figure it's every man for himself, so they steal the Twisted Metal vehicles that were kept in the ship's hull and use them in battle. Of course, there's the ability to jump in/out of the vehicles for some alternative attacks.
We have tested a couple of vehicles mainly for moving around, which we used Sweet Tooth and a whitewashed Crimson Fury (we don't have a color palette yet). We have not yet mounted any machine guns, nor have we developed any weapons. But that will come around soon. We're even close to producing the complete vehicle listing, with some models taken straight out of Twisted Metal: Head-On. But the fun part is when you unlock the four secret characters, which are not from the same franchise. No, they excite the players even more when revealed, which I will not do right now.
As for battlegrounds, we have a lot more in store for that. For most elements, you will recognize them from other games such as Devil May Cry, Silent Hill, Final Fantasy, and others. In fact, I'm too excited that I have a mind to throw in the Roman Ruins.
