Well, that's the only one I've found, other than the HUGE desire, but which I never thought would happen, for them to just package TMBO with it.

Tried out the share play against Mosh in some last man standing mode, the game ran pretty smoothly even with my 'low connection'- sorry I didn't have all the levels unlocked and I didn't have a mic so if you were trying to talk to me I couldn't hear you.  Maybe next time we can run through a co-op.

I was kinda hoping we each got our own screen to play, however its setup for a split screen - which promote screen watching - it takes the element of suprise out but at the same time it adds more excitement when you can quickly analyze your opponents current state (aka screwed with no weapons, AA, turbo or health)... reticle attacks and cloak are all but useless in it.

My old recorder device broke, but somehow I managed to record one of our matches on share play so I'll post it when I can.

Sony is so frustrating. I'm sure they're scratching their heads wondering why TMB isn't selling as well as some of the other re-releases, and I'm sure it'll be used as evidence against developing a new TM. But yet, they shank a whole region with censors while not providing any indication those edits still exist in the European re-release. They couldn't even be bothered to give the game a platinum trophy, while goofy titles like Amplitude and The Mark of Kri do have one.

Sony needs to give Twisted Metal fans a reason to invest in their hardware, and the inclusion of TMBO would have been a major console seller. Nobody's buying a PS4 for TMB by itself, but TMBO? I'm sure there's few on this forum who wouldn't buy a PS4 exclusively for that. It'd take extra effort to include a disk-swap menu and host a server for the online component, but I can imagine the profit margin from re-releasing PS2 games is already massive as it stands, so it'd be hard for them to lose. I understand from a corporate perspective why they likely didn't consider packaging TMBO in with it, but it's just such a missed opportunity. I'm getting pretty tired of waiting for them to release something I'd get excited about, so I can finally get a PS4 and start playing all the free PS Plus titles I've accumulated over the years.

There's plenty of reason to buy one, but I can't get into the next generation when I have many hundreds of PS3 and Xbox 360 games I've gotten for practically pennies in auctions that I still have yet to even try. I'm really the type that needs a single title that I absolutely must buy the console for. Twisted Metal was the title that determined it was time for me to get a PS3, and I got one that year after it was announced. Any online Twisted Metal, be it re-released or new, would secure my loyalty to Sony and I'd get a PS4. Otherwise, I'm in no rush.

It's my understanding that the TMBO server was just recently announced as having been online for an entire year, and IIRC, you've never played TMBO before... the game costs practically pennies at auction, and a PS2 console may be found at auction for practically pennies... . Sounds like a great deal for a person that has purchased an entire console for a TM title in the past.
