Favorite Version of Dollface?

The character Dollface has existed in two forms: A traumatized, unstable girl who was a victim of child and workplace abuse, and an ambitious, psychotic supermodel. Although they carry the same name, they are entirely separate entities. Which Dollface do you like better?

I prefer the Black version. Her character seemed more sinister and psychotic rather than angry over a scar. The child like mentality multiplied this.

The original costume design was great, but in this and this alone do I think 2012 was a bit better because it added some color to the pallet rather than just black.

Sinister and psychotic. These are words I'd never thought people would describe her as. Typically, people think of Dollface as sweet and innocent, an incorruptible protector of the innocent rather than the psychopath she is.

Not really a fan of her. I'm just gonna say that her being the driver of Darkside looked out of place in Black.

Well if you take her at face value maybe, but the psychosis she is under has shown she is prone to violent outburst and that her mind is slowly digressing to that of a child. It's a deadly combination honestly. Most of which is just a theory based off of psychology. Someone who seems so innocent and with a obvious aggression towards men would make quite the deadly serial killer.

Now Krista, While they tried to push the hallucination and delusional angle just came off as a bitch rather than someone with a mental illness.  It mostly just seemed like bottled up anger much like sweet tooth, but that characters mentality is a lot deeper and complex due to the fact he completely snapped into two different people. I feel that sweet tooth still felt genuine though mainly due to the fact he was carried over from black basiclly.

That I think was a play on the developers part if you think about it you see a small innocent girl you wouldn't believe she was strong enough to drive something of that size. It fits her if you ask me. Though Mr.ash is missed.

Its all about underestimating her. That's her game.

I prefer the Twisted Metal Black version because she has more of a personality if you ask me. I know that the TM PS3 version is just a model who has a scar or rash or whatever on her face and is crazy. Besides, the one in Twisted Metal Black is one of the very few TMB characters that aren't so evil and wants to kill everyone. She at least sounds innocent and isn't a crazy psychopath unlike everyone else in the game (except for John Doe and Agent Stone, who died in their endings). She's my favorite female Twisted Metal character but ONLY the TMB version.

Everyone in black is a psychopath. That is the point of black and paint it black. That's  the complete subject material.

Though john doe was more of a case he thought he was something he wasn't.

Really not a fan of TMX's version of Dollface. There were some great concepts there (A cursed, indestructible mask that won't come off? Nice...) and her outfit in that game was much cooler-looking. But the character's personality got on my nerves, and there were quite a few moments that seemed like the writers didn't know where they were going with her story...

TMB's Dollface definitely seems better by comparison. She's a more solid character overall, and unlike a lot of people in the world of TM, her unstable nature is laced with a certain level of kindness. That alone makes her stand out quite a bit.

Wow. Only 1 vote for 2012 Dollface as opposed to 19 votes for Black Dollface. I wonder who was the one voter for 2012 Dollface?

The one thing everyone seems to agree that Dollface (2012) is better at than Dollface (Black) was the costume. I wonder why that is.

For me, it's the combination of colors mixed with the hairstyle. The outfits themselves are largely the same, but the contrasting colors in the new one seem to give it more...life.

Personally, I prefer Dollface's (TMB) outfit. I think the colors are more faithful to Darkside than that animesque look of Krista Sparks. All black gives her that mystique that Darkside was known for, just like Mr. Ash, whereas the only reason why 2012 Dollface would drive Darkside was to reference the old Dollface. It wasn't even explained how she obtained the semi. It just felt tacked on.

Eh, I can see that. To be honest, Dollface's whole story was a mess in that game, and the lack of explanation for Darkside's appearance is one of the many things wrong with it.

Taking the outfits as their own separate entity from the vehicles/stories, I'd say the two look proper for their respective worlds. TMB Dollface's lack of color works with the dark, moody atmosphere of that game, while the new one has colors that seem more appropriate for the new setting. The only thing that really gives the newer one an edge (for me, at least) is the fact that the deeper colors seem to work better with the outfit, and that the visible hair adds a little more personality to the design. That might just be me, though.

27-1. Jeezum crow! PS3 Dollface didn't stand a chance against Black's Dollface! There's something seriously wrong about that. Even with a character as polarizing as TM:B Dollface, she still managed to wipe the floor with the newer one. Such a serious disconnect between what the fans wanted and what they received. I guess these results help prove that the old Dollface deserves more attention in the Twisted Metal series than the new one, or the new Dollface deserves to be seriously changed or removed with a different incarnation altogether. Near unanimous agreement.

PS3 Dollface's vehicle is technically Juggernaut, not Darkside.

PS3 Dollface was totally unlikeable as a character.
They gave her Grasshopper's name, Krista Sparks, instead of a new name, which was odd because she has zero in common with Calypso's daughter. They gave her the motivation of TM2 Spectre (fame), elements of the tragedy of TMB Dollface (having a mask stuck on her face), and a rotten, homicidal & insecure personality like Bloody Mary/TMB Spectre.

What is much better about TMB Dollface is that she is a consistent character. She is a victim. Her change of heart in her ending made sense because it's in her personality to self-victimize, so of course she decided not to free herself of the mask. TMB Dollface wasn't really concerned with revenge, even though she got it. She's both a broken and dangerous character, which is what made her an enjoyable video game character.

TMX Dollface however is not a victim yet the 2nd cutscene in her story spends minutes of time trying to get the audience to feel/sympathize for her situation. Instead of Dollface/Sparks committing to freeing herself in her 3rd act she comes up with a stupid wish instead, making the 2nd act of her story meaningless and making the character completely shallow. PS3 Dollface could be simply summed up as a self-centered serial killer model... you can check out a better version of the same exact character in the New Batman Adventures - I speak of Calendar Girl  Cool ...
