Most glitches relating to Darkside have been patched out, including a glitch that caused Darkside's ram special to last over twenty seconds, and a glitch that cause Darkside's trigun to continue firing bullets far longer than it's supposed to, for over 450 bullets. In current day there aren't any "glitches" that you can be purposefully exploited, but there are tricks with the timing of specials and turbo dashes that can allow you to gain a ton of extra speed. There are also peculiar glitches with Darkside that still occasionally emerge, but I'm pretty sure they just occur at random. Usually the glitches are more annoying than beneficial.
In terms of just turbo dashing in general, there are certain vehicles that really benefit from frequently turbo dashing, most notably the mid-heavies like Meat Wagon, Roadboat, and Junkyard Dog. If you know the location of turbo dash pickups, including factoring them into your weapon routes and turbo dashing between pickups can help you navigate the map considerably faster. In terms of combat, turbo dashing can help you dodge weapons with standard homing, such as fire and swarmer missiles, fairly reliably. It's sometimes possible to dodge homing missiles and fully charged stalkers in lightweight vehicles, but it's not reliable enough to attempt unless you're left with no other option.
