http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/bf/Atari-800XL.jpg

The game was a 2D sidescroller as far as I remember, and you're this kung fo something fighter who fights karate something bosses.

I apologize for the lack of info but the only thing I remember is this boss who's wearing purple and is bald but has this really long fishtail like brown hair which he uses as a whip.

I'm dying to figure out its name but no luck, so help me?

Karateka?

Nope, not this one.
But the one I'm talking about is almost exactly the same as Karateka.

It's been forever since I last played this and I remember enjoying it. It's coming in the mail. I use to play it at my sister's house and never got my own. I think the game was actually not hers. This is the third game of this series. I tried out the fourth game and didn't like it. The CPUs was cheap as hell on Expert and the new chain reaction mechanic made the matches too fast. The only reason I managed to beat the game before getting a refund was because I was lucky and I didn't even know what I was doing. I don't see a Youtube video of someone beating that game on Expert. There's only a TAS one. Stay away from Bust-A-Move 4.

That is a good game. I bought a version for the 3ds. Sadly it only has a half assed puzzle mode.

I just now noticed that I posted the PlayStation box art of the game and the bottom is the gameplay of the N64 version. The N64 version looks inferior to the PS1. The PS1 has a better looking main menu and the music sounds better too. You can't play against the CPUs in that 3DS one? That is bad. That's the best thing about the game. It's probably because of the small screen.

I brought Tomb Raider 2 a month ago. It was the first one I played back then and never beaten it. I was mostly watching my brother play it. This game is like half adventure half horror because of it's dark atmosphere. It can give you the creeps, especially when you hear footsteps. The save feature works like save states on an emulator, since the stages are long and there's so many places where you can die from falling. Be careful where you save. If you save on a spot where you're about to die, you'll have to start over from the beginning of the stage.

Played injustice for the first time at a buddies house. I have to say the level of interactivity with levels is quite awesome.
The Xbox 360 controller left me with a blister though, most likely due to the fact I don't hold it properly.

Also been playing a demo of X3: Reunion. The space Sim is unique in the fact its open to being played how ever you wish. Trader, Pirate, manufacturer, armada leader. Its pretty cool.

Recently bought the first darksiders. I like the game a lot. Its kinda like DMC without shitty camera angles and prerendered backgrounds.

This game has a spot on my favorites list me thinks.

There are just too many games to list that I really like and enjoy...

So what I'd really like to do (and since this is a FAVORITE games thread) is list off my MOST favorite games; or rather, specifically, most favorite franchises of all time, in order, starting from the top (and yes, I have a top 3!):

1. Twisted Metal series
2. Oddworld series
3. Halo series

^^^Those are the games I care most about and look forward to seeing more of being made and realeased. Each one is capable of making me pick up a new console to play a new game. I could list tons more, but those are the three that would make me get a tattoo of them on my body if I was willing to get one.

And here is my order of favorites of each franchise, if you're curious, with some description...

Twisted Metal series:
1. Twisted Metal 2 (PS1) and Twisted Metal: Black (PS2) (I really can't decide which one I like the most. Both were executed very well, are very different, and a lot of fun!)

2. Twisted Metal (PS1)

3. Twisted Metal: Head-On (PSP) and Twisted Metal: Head-On: Extra Twisted Edition (PS2)

4. Twisted Metal (PS3)

5. Twisted Metal 3 and 4 (PS1) (I'm really just listing the order here; and although almost everyone here, including myself, considers these to not be real Twisted Metal games, I still enjoyed them for what they were)

6. Twisted Metal: Small Brawl (PS1) (it's really not that great, but it can be kinda fun. But it definitely falls at the bottom of the list of TM's as far as fun-factor goes. And yes, even manages to fall under TM 3 & 4, as much as I hate to do it.

Oddworld Series:

1. Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee (PS1) (gameplay and story were perfect. No other Oddworld game since has been able to produce or reproduce both perfect gameplay and story in one package and left me drooling/starving for more. Munch's Oddysee comes closest to it, but still didn't hit the exact spot like the first Oddworld did. One of the most AMAZING first-time experiences I've had in gaming (TM2 is another). NOTE: I have yet to play Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty!, but I am excited to once I get a new PS4 (the system I want to play it on) soon...)

2. Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee and Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD (Xbox, PS3)

3. Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath and Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD (Xbox, PS3)

4. Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus (PS1) (this game is a lot of fun to play, and anyone who enjoyed Abe's Oddysee will like it; it's just mainly the story that puts this at the bottom of the Oddworld list. The story is good, but not as much as the others...)

Halo series:
I'm focusing on the games as a whole and not just any one particular aspect, which may be better (e.g.: just multiplayer)...

1. Halo: Combat Evolved (Xbox)

2. Halo 2 (Xbox)

3. Halo 3 (Xbox 360)

4. Halo 4 (Xbox 360)

5. Halo: Reach (Xbox 360)

6. Halo 3: ODST (Xbox 360) (I feel it's kind of unfair for me to mention this game because I have yet to complete it. But from what I have played, it falls under the rest of the Halo's. I can at least say Firefight is a lot fun in this game)

NOTE: I have yet to play Halo Wars or Halo: Spartan Assault other than their demos (Xbox 360). I really don't have interest in Halo Wars, but I liked the Spartan Assault demo and I think I would enjoy it and plan on buying it in the near future...).

Looking forward to playing, in no particular order...

  • Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty! (PS4)

  • Halo: The Master Chief Collection (Xbox One)

  • Halo 5: Guardians (Xbox One)

  • and a new Twisted Metal, C'MON!!!...

I played Oddworld 2 and thought it was a great game. Although I forgot about it I would consider it a favorite. I might have to buy that one again.

Doom (and plenty, PLENTY of wads)
Quake (1, 2 and Arena)
Twisted Metal (World Tour and Black; excluding the bastard installments)
Unreal
Blood
Carmageddon (excluding the 3rd one)
Destruction Derby (especially the 2nd one)
Def Jam: Fight For NY
Shadow Warrior (the 2013 reboot)
That's what I can think of at the moment.
