I got it to work. I'm not sure how, I think it was caused by that freeze glitch where if you ram the enemy or get rammed, while having a shield up and they shoot an ice at the same time, you won't be able to move even though you blocked the freeze with the shield. This only happens when the CPU big cars rams you. I don't remember if I startled the stage with it. This was done on the red disc with the Sweet Tooth face on it. I needed to double post because otherwise it won't get noticed and the delete and edit button always disappears.

I think it has something to do with the special files messing and you end up having Dark Tooth's pattern one. It has happened to me lots of times already.

DUDE YOU ACTUALLY DID IT! AWESOME! I so gotta try this... Yeah my GH disc is scratched up pretty badly towards the point where it shows Sweet Tooth's ending EVERY TIME where the SingleTrac screen is supposed to show. I oughta get a recording of that. Nice work, nonetheless Tongue

EDIT: I can confirm at least the freeze glitch works, but still no Dark Tooth special. It's important to do it with a freeze spammer like Mr. Slam, and/or Hammerhead, when we speak of large vehicles. I chose just Hammerhead because Mr. Slam often throws me off. The stage wasn't startled, but I couldn't move for a bit. Also, what difficulty did you do this on when the DT glitch worked?

Maybe it's because I was on the pier when Mr. Slam freeze glitch me. I was near the water area. I still don't believe that wiki. I still can't remember if I already had the special when the stage startled. The difficulty was on hard. I wasn't actually trying to get it to work in that run. I was just playing normally.

I tried reloading the game several times in the PC version and got it to work twice in like...30 reloads. It is just random, and quite useless, since the special is really hard to control.

Reply #35 - 05/28/14 at 17:19:40 Still no luck for me reproducing it, a real shame sadly. I don't think this glitch will work just doing Challenge Mode or in two player Battle Mode. It may potentially work in Two Player Tournament but I'm not sure. What I do know is I tested the freeze glitch in two player and that worked also.

No no no the freeze glitch AS FAR AS I KNOW doesn't make it work. When I do it, it causes the vehicle to freeze that is being shielded. But nothing more after the game thinks the freeze is over and the shielder regains controller.

After looking at PS1 games in Google, I noticed that black label discs have more colors and pictures, while Greatest Hits discs are gray with just the name of the game on it. Both the black label and Greatest Hits disc for TM1 is the same though. When you get the glitch to work in tournament mode, the effect will still be there and will be in challenge mode in Hong Kong untill you turn off the game.

My internet was out for like five days so like, yesterday while I was spending time with my big sister I decided to play some Twisted Metal 2 on one of my PlayStation 1's through my capture card connected to my sister's laptop while she was finishing up playing through Tomba and I literally screamed in excitement. Sure, I turned on cheats, playing on Hard mode with the Map off and just selected Sweet Tooth and played through without dying even once from falling on New York or Antarctica. I kept trying to pull the freeze glitch off Luis mentioned but to no avail, just a minor inconvenience when you think about it though. I'm uploading a video I recorded suddenly in VirtualDub and such.

Yeah I don't even know why the recording messed up so bad. My sister's laptop is much faster than my rig. I also found out that Sweet Tooth's special can act like Dark Tooth's in the beta version of the game too, I just played through the game on Hard, with God Mode on because it's simply unfair because Sweet Tooth's special is misaligned vertically in the beta but is MUCH stronger than in the final, but still. It was really amusing to see how it would just spawn quite a bit of a ways from Sweet Tooth. I'll try and get screenshots and maybe video footage of it when I can. I burnt an ISO of the Beta version and booted it using the swap trick.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that I think this may potentially be a hidden anomaly that occurs when you are playing on Hard and haven't lost any lives, but I could be wrong, maybe it occurs on Normal too. I'm not sure though.
