That was one cool thing about Black and Head-on, all of the characters had endings. Except Minion I think.
I want a remake of this so badly, even as a PSN game for like 15 bucks would be enough to make a good basic TM.
I want to make it clear that I really don't want an overhead view like they did with Motorstorm RC, it ruined the experience for me, I want the camera right behind the vehicle.
I think for them to really pull another Small Brawl off it needs to...
-original tournament style with no bullshit objectives
-keep cartoon style
-Bring back all characters regardless of name
(or change them)
-keep it at a T rating
-add complexity and interaction to levels, but keep the same scale
-have different level options for tournament mode like TM Black and Head-on
-multiplayer and multiplayer co-op (obviously)
-mid tournament cut scene?
-vehicle skins?
I honestly think the game would be better off without multiplayer and vehicle skins.
Vehicle Skins because that's something that isn't worth the time or money to implement, considering the fact that the designs of all the cars in Small Brawl are great. They have a distinct style to them, and I think keeping it original would add to the concept of Small Brawl itself, and keep it as an outlier from the rest of the series. Being able to take something that invokes a child-like mindset and throw a new skin that could potentially ruin it's innocence doesn't seem to fit.
As far as multiplayer, I don't like the direction the upcoming generations are heading. Believe me, I love being able to go online and play with my friends, but it stops us from playing together in person. Back in the PS1 days, when we wanted to play video games together, we had to sit in from of a TV in person and play on a Split Screen on a tiny TV. Technology has advanced so much since then, that people have forgot about the classic days. In modern soceity, why go over to play split screen when we can stay at home and play together from there? If they have online multiplayer, I think it should only be Co-op. But as far as TDM, etc; I think it should stay on the local split-screen. Even support Local play by being connected to the same wireless signal, or through ethernet cables, so that way everyone can have their own TV's, but a small title like this can invoke feelings of nostalgia and be a small step in reminding people that we do love how we used to play, cause it made real friendships stronger, without being a triple A title that would never dream of making a move like this.
