We are alive and well and have been for a couple years now (time flies). Play every wed and saturday evening

Our roster is about 12 people.

The TM2PC crowd really died down a few years ago, and there were only like 5 of us actually playing.

Virtual Machine works for online kali and tm2pc running xp... but it does present new problems. At least for me it did. Slowdown and new connection issues for joining games. But if no one can even connect to the kali tracker... then I don't think any games can be played PERIOD.

Pyrinder what name did you play TM2PC or TMBO under before? You seem to know a bunch bout these games.

I am glad to hear that, because I just picked up a PS2 Network Adapter. Not because it was just $2 (Ridiculous drop from it's previous price, $15), but I was thinking of TMBO. And if I'm lucky, I can retrieve my TMBO disc from a friend.

I have revealed myself before on the "Welcome TMA" thread. But I'll do so again.

I've stopped hoping probably long before this all happened. It is but a myth now.

But I'll be honest about 2.0 since it's brought about. Some of the features that were mentioned, honestly sounds like TMA is almost trying to be like what sites Facebook is. Who the hell cares? Granted a lot of the features already mentioned do sound like a godsend. I'm just saying we don't need to fully adapt to the social networking aspect, least all I ever would've wanted for a TMA 2.0 was just a little revamped site with new gears.

Lastly, keeping one user banned for repeated shenanigans times before ought to still be in place. You're going to unleash the same problematic user when everything is new and flashy? That would diminish just about the purpose of the new site! And a burden to be riding on a new clean slate. Some sites I've been on where users like that stay gone, no matter their pleas or friendships with the admin/mod. It turned out for the better.

Yea. That's why I've been keeping crosshairs on the nuke button for Maggot since he somehow come back. Since the site has suposively been freaking "dead" I was just going to see how far he'd go again before I did nuke him. I have a close eye on him. Believe me.

Since this site has been "dead" or "ghost towned" nuking him just didn't even seem to matter because supposively NOONE WOULD CARE!!

Maybe he did get nuked, who knows? Or maybe he's finally getting the hint for once in his life.

I think a lot of fake-vets pinpoint their favorite "era" of TMA was probably their original join time, up until now. I cannot even say that 2001 - 2005 period was considered good times for me, cause, I wasn't remotely active then. Even though I've been around for quite a while. I only favor a few years here and there.

If the good times was 2001-2005, then what's 2006-2008? I'm guessing those were the times, when TMA was completely dead, which I remember reading about.

Yea. If Maggot is nuked, it's not that big a loss. If he isn't he's doing a good job keeping his pea brained head down.

Of course every member that has ever been here will have their own versions of "The Good Times of TMA" That I don't think can ever be helped. Of course someone like me who has been a member of the site since 2001 would consider that time period as the pinnicle. With good reason.

But for educational sake, the "good times" that long vested veterans always speak of is the period between 2000-1- 2005 when TMB was able to connect people here by way of playing TMB online. That was really a historic thing when that happened. Logging into TMBO and seeing a game room called TMAlliance.com wondering WTF was that? Then going to the site seeing all these crazy, loose lipped people and some of the shit they'd say on BOTW, and it was mind blowing.

That slow period at TMA was pretty much those years you mentioned. There really wasn't much going on, and everyone kinda just drifted apart for whatever reason. Nothing like what's going on now of course.

Anyway, don't take my telling of those "Golden Years" as a slight to those who weren't there. I can't hold something like that against anyone. Because.....
