What a clusterfuck

SO I finally managed to get my own PS3, and being the TM fan I am, I picked up TMX. At launch my friends and I would play it religiously, but after 2 or 3 months we grew tired of it and haven't touched it much since.

I hopped online, and I was pretty disappointed with what I experienced. Shadows and Meat Wagons EVERYWHERE just spamming gurneys like crazy. Small vehicles getting completely demolished before they have a chance to react and heavy vehicles being driven by players that are not as skilled as I am, but that manage to kill me at the last second due to obnoxious ramming damage.

I've started to realize how broken this game is.

Ramming is too strong
The physics are too floaty for small vehicles
Small vehicles don't have enough armor
Weapons home too well
Cars don't handle precisely enough
Shadow and Meat Wagon are just broken

I mean, I still love the fuck out of this game offline (challenge mode of course) but online it is really hit and miss. Sometimes I get into matches without a bunch of idiots abusing the broken mechanics, and sometimes that's all I can find.

I'm sick of always getting Top 3 in damage dealt but bottom 3 in kills, but I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I'm not going to call it quits just yet. I can tell that I am just not a fantastic player yet, having just started out, and that my mindset while playing hasn't completely gotten out of "single player mode". By that I mean that I shield almost instantly right away, and I actually try using EMP (lol) etc. etc.

So who here still plays, maybe we could hop on and play some rounds, and maybe I can pick up on some things to make me a better player.

Also, any general tips?

So that's how the online is? I never touched it before. The single player isn't any better. Too much cheap headshots and remote bombs going through walls, when fighting ten cars. Spectre not being in this game, was a huge contradiction. We have CPUs shooting through walls and ceilings.

Its more fun online than offline in my opinion. Sure the players may use cheap tactics, but playing offline is even more hit and miss. Story mode sucks (but you already knew that) and on Twisted the AI is ridiculously cheap with its 5 second headshots and insane damage.

Its still fun with friends (co-op is SO much fun and it fixes all of the problems that offline play has) but single player is blegh. If you play online, play with friends, it makes the game much more fun.

Love your Youtube videos by the way Cheesy

Why did you remind me that my favorite vehicle since TM2 is gone?

Anyways, I still play on occasion.  My PS3's blu ray drive is busted ever since Battlefield 3 crashed my system, but once it is repaired I'll be playing the hell out of TMX.  Just add me on PSN.  Same as my username on here!  Just make sure to note inside the request that it's you!

The enemies tends to act like the ones in fighting games, where they can read the button you pressed. Shoot a power missile at a car that's in your face and they will instantly put up a shield.
