You will be forced to use them no matter who you pick and it will replace Head On models. When you play the tournament mode, it's better to pick ATV, Cousin Eddy or Dark Tooth because when you pick a car like Hammerhead, he will not appear as a CPU because the game still thinks you have selected that car so a CPU of him will not show up.

Just enter those codes, turn them on and start.

Wait so what exactly do you need? Luis just provided everything you need to play as TM Lost characters on Head-On, are you trying to find out how to replace player 2?

After I did that, I stopped using the converter.
