Well I'm playing Gunzerker right now but I imagine when you start playing SynthR I'll just pick a new character because I'll probably be pretty leveled by the end of the day with my first character so I might try Maya.

I'll be on the rest of the day until about 11 or so tonight and then I'll be on tomorrow after I get off work sometime around 5 or 6 and then I should be off work all day Thursday.

Just got the game. The dialogue is hilarious, and a Loy funnier than the original Borderlands. I'm playing Maya, but I'm on PS3. Game controls differently and feels more fluent.

Mechromancer drops October 12th (:

Oh and Xizor you lucky bastard. I was going to get the loot chest edition but it was all sold out /: so I got the special edition.

Also while I love the random gun/loot generator in Borderlands, does anyone else find it slightly flawed? What I mean by that is that for all the random guns it generates most of the time you get weapons that are similar in function just slightly different in stats. Sniper rifles seem OK but other guns like shotguns or pistols seem to always fall into certain types. Like I've never seen a shotgun that has shock, corrosive, or flame elemental damage. Its always explosive or just normal buckshot. Same with pistols except I seem to mostly find pistols with flame damage and not much else. I think I've only seen about three guns with corrosive damage the whole game so far and absolutely no weapons with slag damage. Maybe this will change the further I get in the game but its just something I've noticed so far.

Best weapons in the game that I've found are those new spitter assault rifle variations. They look like a normal rifle but they have a four barreled mini gun type end and fire small rocket type projectiles.

Yeah maybe I spoke to soon about the weapons because I was finding tons of various good shit yesterday when I was playing. It seems like they slowly give you better and crazier weapons as you play and get to different areas. Same with shields, class mods, grenade modes, and everything else.

As far as bugs or glitches go I haven't seen any myself but I'm playing on the always superior 360 version. Tongue

There are around 6-8 different loot chest variations in the game so they aren't only the port-a-potties. They still have the same ones from the first game as well.

There is also a guy named Michael something or other in Sanctuary that can be found at random places in the town every time you travel there that will give you a random item or weapon each time you talk to him though you can only do it once per trip. Apparently from what someone told me he is based on a dude in real life who was a huge Borderlands fan that died of cancer so Gearbox put him in the game as an NPC. You also get an achievement/trophy for finding him and taking a weapon from him.

Also the slot machines in Sanctuary are a good way to get lots of random weapons and items. Me and bigdog played the fuck out of them last night. It costs around 250 bucks per lever pull but its a really great way to gets lots of new stuff.

There's all sorts of loot chests around. I even so one on the back of Goliath.

And the slot machines are ridiculous, though Xizor had better luck than me. I kept getting grenades to pop out and explode. Although, Moxxi didn't care, I guess. It's worth it if you have a ton of extra money.
