I play TMPS3 and I see it as a modern version of the core of those games and I just can't make the connection of dumping the new one to play the old one. I have read why the vets don't like the new game, honestly I have.
I guess my disconnect isn't hey why don't you like TMPS3 because there are some issues. But rather how do you dump this to play TM2 PC or TMBO? Maybe I just don't get how good TMBO or TM2 PC is or maybe I just don't have the attachment to it? I honestly don't know.
I am trying to bridge the gap of communication. I don't need another essay because I think I would really need to play TMBO or TM2 PC for a long time to get it.
I guess you kind of hit it, in that you just don't get it? I mean to me its night and day, crystal clear how this game doesn't play at all like the older ones. For me, its easy to dump the new one when it just doesn't hold a candle in the gameplay department, and if it baffles you how they are different then yes, I suppose there is a disconnect and you don't see it necessarily. Its prolly why most vets do see it.
I was 100000% ready to never play TM2PC or TMBO again after the new game came out. FYI. As were all vets and players alike. (and it isnt JUST vets that are disappointed either)
Theres no crime or shame in disliking the new game or not understanding WHY people dislike it. But people need to see it and accept it for what it is and not for what it isn't (TMBO fanboyism, not willing to change, not wanting to adapt, etc etc insert BS here).
And let me remind HB. This thread was started by someone who never voiced their opinion about disliking new game EVER BEFORE. And he ASKED if he was alone....
So obviously people are going to say "hey, youre not alone".
Oh the crime being committed! Defense force comes out full swing and the arguments ensue. Insecurities abound.
