I remember in terms of bad guys for TMB there was an initial letdown with Warhawk.

I was like, "WTF, a helicopter?"

It wasn't as over the top hilarious freaky as Dark Tooth. Not by a long shot, and in fact, I still rank Dark Tooth to be the more awesome and memorable boss fight.

However, it WAS creepy, and it WAS hard (and not in a cheap feel there is nothing that can be done way), and ultimately that became a defining moment for Black. What it lacked in wackyness it made up for with its bone crushing brutality.

I liked Warhawk alright as a final boss, just wish they delivered a bit more with Minion. He was a cool mini boss as well, but they could've named him something else and given us the real deal on the battle before the last. That being said, I love the way this game is set-up, probably has the best campaign out of all the Twisted Metal games, I especially liked the option of choosing your path of levels throughout the game.

I don't see too much of a point having Dark Tooth. Besides the fact of "I have an HD PLAYABLE version of Dark Tooth. The reason I say this, is because they have Sweet, so what would they do differently? I feel like that's why you couldnt play as Dark Tooth in TM2.

I could see some ways of making Dark Tooth worth the time. Take away Sweets Alt Special, and replace it with some sort of Head Remote Bomb thing. I'm not too sure. They couldn't make it Larger, considering then it would be TOO big. They could up Ram damage, but when Sweets is already 45-55 ram damage, it's not to much fun to increase it anymore.

I don't know, just my opinion.

I loved the Warhawk fight. But there are certain aspects to it i didn't like.

1. We already did a bowl level in the first minion fight.

2. We already fought minion. Adding 2 more as an element to disable warhawk was interesting though.

3. Warhawk him self has the attack variety of a Contra boss.

4. The Minions are the most difficult part of the fight.

5. The overall strategy is to circle around the circular shaped level to avoid the Minion attacks was not easy. But once you figure out the pattern it isn't very difficult.

6. Kind of trial and error. There is no way for you to know off the bat that you need to explode the tankers under warhawk on your first life. Unless you make a lucky guess. It's one of those things that isn't explained before or during the fight. I like games that make you figure stuff out. But once you know how to fight Warhawk he's not very threatening.

What i loved about warhawk

1. Probably one of the cooler boss designs. The throwback to Warhawk was cool but once you seriously take a look at Warhawk. He's scary looking, huge, and is totally an awesome boss.

2. He was different. TM1 Minion was already recycled as a mid boss for TM2. But we haven't heard shit about the game Warhawk in years. Plus we have never fought an airborne boss in TM. Warhawk is the most unique of the TM bosses. Plus his name and character is a bad ass reference.

3. It wasn't what i expected. But in a good way. It was nice to hit the end of the game and be surprised instead of attacking a bullet sponge. The worst thing a sequel can do is have a boss fight that is identical to the original.

4. For a brief moment when you are fighting him with his shields down. It feels a whole lot like a normal TM boss fight. But sadly it doesn't last long.

To be honest i'm very partial to the good ol Dark Tooth styled fights. Especially the ones on TMHO and TM2.

If it were up to me. The Mid Boss would be a gimmick fight and the final boss would be a city grid or rooftop fight. You end up with so many more surprise moments fighting like that.

The one thing that ALWAYS got to me about Twisted Metal Black was that Dark Tooth didnt make an appearance even as an unplayable boss. He would have fit the game perfectly. They had more than enough levels to place a 3rd boss in the game easily. And I think either the Prison end stage or Suburbs would have been perfect for his encounter.

It fucking irks the fuck out of me whenever I think of him not being in TMB whatsoever.

- He would have been a clone of Sweet Tooth programmed to fight for Calypso or maybe another patient who was cursed by Preacher in the same manner as Sweet Tooth who was promised a cure if he did his job as a boss for Calypso

- The stages were big enough to fight him as a monstrosity.

- Have him have a multi phase encounter, with a mech variant involved. Maybe a spider mech with blood splotches instead of pink dots.

- Have a stitched clown head and as a Mech, have a clown skullish face. Both head variants on fire.

They coulda made him one disturbing boss man. Could have easily fit the game.

Darktooth coulda had such a fucking presence in TMB, even bigger than TM2 if they paid the fuck attention to the fans with requests like this, because the above wasnt even my idea (except who he would be) but i loved the idea so much i remembered itby heart.
