I remember seeing a video on Brawl about some guy from Sony saying there wasn't enough RAM to even put it in if they wanted to.
Yeah that was the excuse. Even more lame of an excuse then the "Oh we had to remove backwards compatibility, but hey want to buy some PS2 and PS1 games?" crap. I mean seriously how stupid do they think people are that they feel they can convince people that the PS3 can't play your PS2 disks, but you can play this huge library of PS1 and PS2 games which you can purchase off PSN... That is just insulting.
Or "It can only do everything, by the way no more Linux so fuck you nerds! I DARE YOU TO HACK US!".
It always feels great to buy products from a company that treats the majority of it's customers like they are stupid and that they own them. Hell i even like PS+ but man it's really hard to trust Sony after the PS2 and PSP. Hamsters live longer then those systems.
I could totally get it if they could not do party chat for older games. Since older games would use up the ram. That makes logical sense.
But don't you think they could change the maximum requirements for new games to allocate like 5mb of RAM for voice chat?
I mean i'm not a super fucking computer programmer or anything. But when my computer runs out of RAM and starts running on Virtual RAM. i turn off something i'm not using to speed the system up again.
I don't know. I want there to be a good explanation but i just know it has more to do with spending money on something that won't hurt or help sales.
