Playstation Magazine - TMPS3 Scan

Sorry for the quality, I did this all in just a couple minutes on a crappy scanner.  Some of it is hard to read, but that's ok it should encourage people to buy it, I guess.

Enjoy!

Juggernaught can shield 6 times off of one bar!  Holy shit!  That's probably fair though, considering he is a massive target.

Also, Darkside and Roadkill both have 3 specials.

I am very disappointed that copied specials seem to be confirmed (Crimson/Kamikazi both have flame throwers, Juggs/Darkside/Talon all have turrets, Axel/Warthog both have crushing specials, Darkside/Roadkill both have mines, and Deathwarrent/Roadkill both have gatlinggun/blood rockets.

It is this last one that I am most disappointed in: Roadkill and Death Warrent seem incredibly similar, with identical specials (Roadkill also has mines...but the same exact mines as Juggernaught and Darkside).  WTF is with this?

Alot of the cars seem to similar from just reading about them, the way I reckon it, you could probably just combine Roadboat, Death warrent and Roadkill into one car..

I actually kind of already figured the last part would probably be true. That's part of why I don't really like Death Warrant; he just seems like a knockoff Roadkill in spirit. I can forgive it from Meat Wagon (to shadow) since the design has a lot of personality... but DW seems kinda bland to me, especially compared to RK's awesome new design. Anyway it doesn't really bother me that a lot of the cars share specials, since each one has two. None of them overlap completely. I still don't know what Outlaw's secondary is...

One final note... does anyone else find it odd that breaking out of enemy EMP attacks faster is listed as a con on Kamikaze? Or am I misunderstanding that? Maybe they mean his EMPs are faster to break out of?

I didn't expect each car to have unique specials anyway.  After all, 15 cars with 2, 2 with 3... that's 36 "unique" specials.  Hell, it earlier games many specials were just variants off of pickups, so at least these are truly "specials".  Anyway, I love this game every time I see more.  Thanks for the scans Cheesy

RoadBoat is entirely different from Roadkill and Death Warrent...

And why shouldn't they have unique special weapons?  It is called a "special weapon" isn't it?  And if they are gonna strip the cars of unique drivers because the cars are the characters (which I agree with), then cloning specials (or even cars as seems to be the case with RK and DW) seems like a cheap shortcut.

I can't see the specials of the vehicles. Could someone perhaps post the vehicles and their respected specials?

Also, is DS's turret first person or outlaw tmb style?

Im guessing specials were copied to help add to balance. Hopefully cars like DW and RK behave differently in terms of AA, speed, handling, etc. Maybe RK feels heavier, doesnt turn as well, but reaches top end faster, while DW stops on a dime, and is nimble etc. As long as the vehicles behave differently, I am not all that upset by recycled specials. If DW and RK end up being the same exact vehicles with different skins then that would be saddening.

I have no problem with what's happening with the specials. Think about it, think CoD(sorry), but Things like the M16 and the famas are extremely similar. They both have the same damage, and accuracy, and have the three round burst, but they have completely different looks, feel, and overall preference. The specials don't overlap, so this keeps the individuality of the cars. I'm sure the mines, and the triguns and the shockwaves and the crushes all have variable damages, and feel completely different, even though they are similar.

I'm almost disappointed by the copied specials, but like the person said above, it would be unrealistic to have 34 unique specials.

And i'm not satisfied by the symmetric maps.  Although, there seems to be different things at the two ends of the maps.

Many places in the world are symmetric, so it's fine. Also, the sides are indeed very different.

Symmetrical maps are probably one of the best ways to insure balance. If the map is different all the way around, especially in a game mode like Nuke, then it is very likely that one side would have an inherent advantage that would be hard to overcome. Imo, maps are on of the fatal flaws in team games if not done well.

The only level that's completely symmetric is the arena. I have a hunch that it will be the most popular nuke level online, since it's small, open, and 100% fair for both teams. The Facing Worlds of TM, so to speak.

RK has a third special, less armor, more speed.  Both are rounders, cars that many players will prefer to use.  By making two variants of the same concept it adds variation to the gamplay, especially online.

Good to see that Meatwagon has "above average armor".  The official page shows it has having low everything.  I assumed that was was a mistake anyway.
