I have started a TMA voice chat server. This software is 100% free. It works similar to Skype mixed with Ventrillo. You can also create your own rooms.

The offical TMA room is Twisted Metal Alliance.

My GSC name is Hellbenttma. Send me a friend request if you are having troubles getting in.

Again this is 100% free and you can set up your own servers. If this is too laggy i can create extra multi reigon servers so those from long distances can maintain better connections.

Currently the limit is 200 people and i have the audio quality set to 16000 hz. Which takes up about 32kbps per person.

If the ammount of people joining increases i will lower the audio qualty to make up for it, then offer a high quality chat room alternative for those who wish to have higher audio quality.

I will keep this open perpetually. It should not be much of a problem. Even if you guys are chatting and i want to do something else i can just mute your voices and let you do your thing.

Though if it chews up most of my bandwidth. I may ask for help hosting it. Or i may lower the audio quality. Either way everybody is free to make their own rooms. So there ya go.

Well no, Skype is all online. But I don't think the conference calls go up to 200 people nor can you control the quality, and you have to stay there, if everyone leaves then the call, or chat room, is closed.

So far peoples mics havent been able to keep up with the sound quality so far. Which is impressive to me. Because it is hardly touching my bandwidth even with 8 people talking.
