Tips & Tricks held a contest about fifteen years ago, around the release of Twisted 2, ten years after the fact I emailed the staff inquiring in the dark about said contest. I told the guy I was putting together a TM fansite, which to this day I'm still working on. Five years later and here we are. I held out for a long time just to see whether Mort or somebody would eventually find and post the thing, but to no avail. To my knowledge this may be the only claimed copy in existance...and yes, I am taking offers to anyone interested. Shocked

I remember this contest. I don't remember much about it, but I remember them holding it, and they said only 50 people were able to figure it out, and they had a stack of an extra 50 comics left around their office (it was limited to only 100 copies). I wrote in and asked if I could have one and received no response, but 8 weeks later, it arrived! I looked through it once, then never again. Recently, I'd been wondering what had happened to it and if it was worth anything. Cleaning out storage today, I finally ran across it again.

I'm not sure if I'll put it up for sale just yet.. I mean, eventually, I'd like to, but for now, it's cool just to own it. It goes along well with the two paintings I got from a friend

In the collections of hardcore DC fans no doubt...

I was told by the collector who sold me one that the price he was asking was way over what I should really be paying but apparently he wasn't the one selling it.

Anyway, I'd like to put in an offer and if it's in better shape than mine (which is pretty fine as it was held by a comic collector in a proper plastic file with the proper cardboard backing) I'd be willing to sell off the one that is a little rougher.

Maybe here on TMA?

Also, I'm curious? Where your paintings done by someone connected with the dev teams?

Remember, mine was a leftover. Only 50 went out to contest winners, the other 50 were given out to anyone who wrote in and asked for one (I guess), and I'm assuming whatever was left over was trashed many, many years ago. I'm very fortunate that it was stored away in such fantastic shape. I thought for sure when I opened the envelope, the elements would've gotten to it long ago or it'd be torn or whatever could've happened would've (dang it, Murphy!), but it's as fresh as the day I got it. I have no doubt whatsoever that less than 50 of these are floating around in decent shape, probably even dramatically less than 50.

The paintings were done free hand by a friend of mine (and by friend of mine, I mean a guy I know on another forum). He's not connected in any way to the dev team, but it was tweeted to Jaffe, and he gave them his official seal of approval (and by that, I mean he said something along the lines of "Wow, that's awesome").. or so I'm told.

I'll continue to sort through my old game magazines and see if I can't find the article where they talk about the contest.
