Should I still buy TMB online in 2010
10/17/10 at 10:59:27

Thinking about getting the online version of the game after playing the offline version for 9 years... question is, does anyone still play this game?

If so, how active is the community and could I reasonably expect to find people to play with?

Thanks!

Well, the servers are offline, you'd have to use a 3rd party program, pre-plan each game, etc. I'm sure it'd just be a total lagfest anyways.

You would find nobody, because no one at TMA even plays on the 3rd party software. We are all waiting for the new TM in 2011.

Unless you want the novelty of owning the disc no. The game can't be played on-line anyways Sony shutdown the servers. If you wanted to play on-line with a buddy you would have to use X-Link or some-other 3rd party software and even then you might get lag.

If you don't have a PS3 get one and if you do you one wait till TMPS3 comes out.

I'd get it to have the disc... frame that shit for nostalgia. but then again, if you didnt know the servers were gone for TMBO, you probably dont have a nostalgic background to the game or series anyway

There were a few copies I found, and they were about $2 each. I'd still buy it anyway.

Thanks everyone for letting me know about those servers and the nice feedback.

I'm actually a huge fan of the series and bought the PS2 specifically for TMB, and I play it much today as I did in 2001 Smiley
