I think it's awesome that Jaffe is doing Live Action for Twisted Metal. Back in the PS days, Live Action footage were pretty much influenced in some games like Sub-Zero MK Mythologies and others. I think this is a very smart move for ESP.

Now Jaffe'll be the dude who get to say "I brought back Live Action, motherfuckers." I think it's brilliant that they are going back to the roots and doing what they should have done with the TM1 endings.

I wouldn't be fucking surprised if the others tried to do the same thing.

This is just getting better and better, holy fuck.

it sounds good in theory, but video games usually end up using amateur actors who are either too stiff or over the top super-dramatic. and even if the actors do a good job, the live action videos suffer from shoddy production values, shitty sound/music or amateur camera work/editing. Hard to find a game that has good Live Action videos.

i hope they pull it off, because most live action sequences in video games are alot like direct-to-dvd horror movies:
They fail... hard.

Hey, first post, used to post in the olde forum under a similar handle.

Anyway, with that out of the way, I have hope for the Live Action cutscenes. Sony's making a big deal out of this game, I'm sure we'll get something good out of it.
But, believe you me, there are so many times I watch a movie and say to myself "I could have done better acting than that."

But what interests me is how they will include Axel.
He's a fan favourite. Hell, he's been my favourite for years (tied with Darkside). My idea is that, considering that everyone is wearing a mask (that has to have some significance) is that the Machine will imprison a character from an opposing team (If you play Dolls, you get a Clown, Clown, you get a Skull, etc. etc.). The member of the opposing team is obviously beaten to within an inch of his life and is forced to wear the mask of the team they are currently playing on. After all, the Machine is a torture device.

Sounds interesting, I had an idea that all would be imprisoned into an Axel like car, but the car would have very low armor and be destroyed easily. First person to find the generic car gets to use it to rack up kills as it has normal damage and good special weapons
