Shadow-Mortimer Sharf

Intro

(We enter the outside of a graveyard. There are tombstones scattered everywhere you look. We close in on one specific tombstone. It reads...)

Here lies Mortimer Sharf. Gone but not forgotten...

(Suddenly, a hand shoots out of the grave, followed by a whole arm, where a human body begins to crawl out of the grave and onto the surface; Mortimer Sharf)

I have returned to the world of the living. The question is why?

(He looks around)

I sense a presence...It seems I am needed on the surface...I know what[i][i][/i][/i] must be done...

(He senses Calypso)

Calypso...of course this had to involve him...looks like I have some work to do.

(He sees Shadow nearby and enters the vehicle, then proceeds to drive onto the highway)

(END INTRO)

Level Dialogue

1-Suburban Terror: You will find out who I am soon enough dear player...

2-Montreal: Be warned however, for your minds may not be ready to comprehend...

3-Paris: This world...this world is full of darkness...

4-Las Vegas: That's why I'm here...to purge it from this universe...

(At the start of level 5, Shadow is seen driving into a massive stadium. Shortly afterward, the gate closes behind it. There is a large demonic symbol in the middle of the stadium and it begins to catch fire as what appears to be a giant tank rises from the center and in front of Shadow. Minion has arrived!)

5-Minion's Stadium: The demon in the tank...he has returned, but I will send him back to where he came from!

Middle

(Minion is destroyed. However, a piece of the turret breaks off and hits Shadow, knocking Mortimer out)

I won but I had been temporarily incapacitated...it's time you learned who I am...

I am Mortimer Sharf...

(Mortimer begins to have visions)

I am what you would call a 'cleanser'; It's my duty to cleanse the world of all sorts of evil at any costs...

(Mortimer is seen during various times in history; including the civil war, WWI and II, and meeting various people such as Jack The Ripper, Hitler, and a group of terrorists. As we see this footage, Mortimer continues to speak)

I have been reincarnated so many times I've lost track...I have seen things no one has seen before...I send every form of evil to hell where they belong. Making the world a better place. As soon as my job is done, I return to the underworld until I am needed again...

(Mortimer slowly fades away to his dimension in his flashback)

This is my greatest challenge to date. This world is filled with so much evil and so many evil doers...

(Shots of Dollface, Cage, Simon Whittlebone, Needles Kane, and finally, Calypso appear)

It seems almost impossible to get rid of them all, but I'm so close...once I defeat all of the remaining drivers...I'll go after Calypso...

(Mortimer wakes up)

He is my biggest obstacle...

(Shadow drives out of Minion's stadium and onto the highway)

(END MIDDLE)

6-Egypt: I feel that the living has no need to panic...the world isn't really coming to an end...

7-Transylvania: Ah, this place feels just like the underworld...

8-Area 51: I have nearly defeated every evil driver in this contest.

9-Death Port: I can sense you Calypso...I am nearing you...

(At the start of level 10, Shadow drives off of the Death Port and onto the harbor, while the broken remains of the defeated drivers fall off. The remaining contestants are there (but not seen) ready to fight. Suddenly, the broken parts float into the air and collide together into a huge explosion. When the smoke clears, a huge vehicle made of the parts of the other vehicles is seen. Piecemeal is here!)

10: Piecemeal's Harbor: It's almost like the shadows of the past coming after me...

Ending

(Piecemeal explodes and the parts rain from the sky and into the water as Shadow drives off of the harbor and into town)

It seems the contest has come to a end...I would go after Calypso now...but I know better...

(A raven appears in Calypso's garage and lands on Calypso's shoulder. It has a note in it's beak. Calypso reads the note as we hear Mortimer narrate what the note says)

"Calypso, I have won your contest. I am no longer needed here in this world of the living...I would go after you now, but I am well aware that you would use your powers to prevent that from happening...

(We see Mortimer driving as he continues to narrate)

"But be warned...your powers will not be able to protect you forever. One day soon, you will not be able to defend yourself...and that just might be the day I come after you again...for now, I will be returning to the underworld...but we WILL meet again Calypso...

(Shadow disappears)

"...Calypso, one day, your very own contest just may end up being the cause of your undoing...this, I know..."

(The picture fades out and the "Twisted Metal: Judgement Day" logo appears)
