if there was a version of tm2 on ps2 with equal graphics and online play TM2 would have blown tmb away imo.ppl who really play TM2 know who the real king is,even Jaffe rates it the best.i think some ppl here get hung up too easily on things like graphics and story line and things like core game mechanics get lost in the equation especially if some hasnt given TM2 atleast a good 6 month run.I can understand someone thinking black the best if they dont understand what got lost in the game that 2 excelled in
ok, thats one side of the coin...
I've been playing TM since the day it came out (thank you IGM for the heads-up), and have played every one except for SB. I played TM2 into the ground, especially since 3 and 4 failed and I was left with no REAL new TMs, I kept on with 2. when I saw the previews for Black, I went down to EB (at the time) the day the game released and bought a PS2 and Black at the same time. I havent touched 2 since (mainly cause it got stolen, but regardless)...
its not that I'm a graphics whore.. the game just happened to look amazing. its the atmosphere... the dank, darkness of everything and everyone. to me, that makes more sense than anything in the past. you wanna talk mechanics.. ? you drive and shoot ppl til they explode. yes, there is strategy and ways to make it more interesting, but nothing you couldnt do in Black that you could do in 2. the only real difference was atmosphere, graphics, and some new ppl.. it was the next evolutionary leap for TM
