Hyeah, I'm going to bid for one probably. The thing that strikes me is the time Small Brawl was made. It happened at around the time when PS2 was in its infancy which means it was probably one of the last or later ps games to be released before Sony abandoned their psone system maybe. I hope it works out in the end. I would really like to use Piecemeal and Trapper on my little psone   Tongue

Bought it, now I gotta wait for it to get shipped over here. I'll be crossing my fingers the whole time hoping to make things work out. I've been experimenting on Boss Piecemeal lately with different specials and noticed that Hammerhead's special is useless on him. It doesn't seem to do any damage whatsoever BUT, it does allow you to sit nicely on top of him while he tries to shoot you heh. I also noticed a computer car breaking one of the movie seats, is it possible to destroy them regularly? I had no idea you could <@_@) Also, I took Hammerhead against Boss Trapper (Normal difficulty) and took out a quarter-half of his health with 5 specials and using up my battery bar for mines. Pretty impressive damage  Grin

Spare ps3 or spare memory card? I don't really have either ._.' Sorry to hear about ps3, if you're looking for old psx memory cards, they're pretty hard to come by these days v_v Oh yeah, I've been meaning to say you have a great gif of Optimus. I use to watch that movie daily as a child  Cool

I'm guessing you won't have paid much for your small brawl?

I think they made way to many copies than actually sold lol.
It got some pretty poor reviews.

I think it was probably the least popular (sales wise) and because it was still a wide release is very cheap to pick up.

I think it does have the worst balance of all the games in the series.

The playable bosses aren't all that hot and many of the normal cars are way powerful than others imo.

Twister is the best I reckon.

One hint of advice: power missiles!

Still it's great fun and I love some of the level design- not the best but still a worthy entry in the series.

Keep us updated if you get your boss codes working...

Yes, I bought mine for a relatively cheap price (brand new on ebay actually and the price was surprisingly low still). I recall the first time I laid eyes on the game (THOSE ARE GOLF BALLS!?) but it's the one TM game I play the most strangely enough. I find it interesting you say Twister is the best (very surprised actually). I think out of the whole game Darkside and Hammerhead are probably the best, and therefore Piecemeal is the strongest especially with that Outlaw special included. You're also right about the power missiles, I definitely try to get 40 by the last stage. I will definitely keep everyone updated to whether or not those boss codes work.

As a sidenote, I found some other interesting tidbits in Small Brawl. If you're using a large vehicle in the Carn-o-maul level you can get in the tunnels and to the health faster. In the tunnel there is a health but there is also a ledge above it (which I frequently use to jump on and just snipe at cpu cars who get stupid and keep shooting the bottom). Anyways, if you jump on that ledge and don't fully land on it you may get forced down to the health. So far I've done that with Piecemeal, Trapper and Darkside.

One other thing I wanted to mention was using Mime against Boss Piecemeal. If you have Hammerhead's special you can basically call it a day. It will let Mime climb up on Piecemeal but if you hold onto the brakes you'll be sitting on him and slanted down so you can just keep feeding him power missiles until he's gone. Oh, and those seats can be destroyed but it takes forever, that's it for now_^)

I got my gameshark and I finally got a chance to use Big PIECEMEAL. So far I've still been experimenting with my gameshark but for those of you who want to use the larger bosses, it's a short lived experience but I think everyone figures that if they think about it. So what does he play like? He has the same speed as a regular car, the feel is the same too and he has some tight turns. To be honest, you're probably better off with the smaller version but it's neat to be able to use the huge guy. There are a lot of stages where he plays poorly though because for some reason he can't move well on flat ground but moves normally on slanted ramps. He also doesn't telegraph what his next special is which is very frustrating. It's very random but from what I've seen he does favour the Darkside and Hammerhead specials a lot. PIECEMEAL also suffers in terms of height. He can't exactly pick up items very easily. Sometimes I need to jump and get the items from the impact of the jump. His armour is very high, highest probably. Oh, and PIECEMEAL can have a damaged look to him unlike the cpu version unless I wasn't looking very well.

TRAPPER has higher armour and his special is actually different than the smaller Trapper special. Well, the monkeys are bigger and they seem to home in a lot better but they still suffer a lot of the flaws they had before.

One last note is that in two player mode the camera pans out for both of them so you can't exactly see very well even if you adjust the camera. However, in one player mode it's fine. If anyone wants me to make some vids I'll do it. If anyone has any specific questions to either of these bosses feel free and ask and I'll do some research on it_^)

. . . . I just noticed that when using TRAPPER in one player mode the camera is always panned from far away so you can't be any closer. Once you get to the level where you'd fight yourself you can't fight. The spot you start on will be empty and you'll see enemies try to shoot at you as if you were there. Shucks, and he was so fun to use already .-. Maybe if I wait and let everyone kill one another . . . .

Thought you might want to see this, Toomny. Boyfriend and I made this a little while back, I did all the gameplay and music editing, he did the cinematic editing. Since I did this on emulator, you can notice how good the graphics are, even compared to the PSX ( I played using the disc on my computer).

Had a lot of fun making this, tell me what you think.

That was radtastic. The scenes were well constructed and there was a lot of motion and explosion in most of them_^) It always was a cool feeling to follow your missiles haha. The double kills were pretty dramatic. Well, Double KO's always are ;p I liked how you showed Twister picking up a lot of people, that special never seems to last long enough ._. The last set of dodges with Hammerhead were boss. Rare footage or hard footage to get of someone dodging that many weapons consecutively only to be killed by weak machine gun bullets heh.

Yeah, Hammerhead is my favorite character, and I'm best with him. I really got lucky on all those dodges at the end, and I felt it would fit best at the end of the video.

Notice my icon is the same symbol as the one on the back of Hammerhead's tailgate?  Roll Eyes

Heh, hyeah, I noticed the double H's right away, it's definitely a good design on the back of the vehicle. Hmmm, something just popped into my mind though. When Hammerhead uses his special on you you can't drive but you can jump, which would lead to me to believe that you can put up a shield. Whether or not you'd still take damage is a mystery though. I've also seen times when Hammerhead would run over me but he wouldn't grind with his wheels and he'd just slip off right away. Maybe the computer has different versions of specials like Darkside being able to hit only once with his ram  Huh Gonna give the gameshark another whirl today. Hope I stumble on something cool!

I'd like the chance to see a couple of vids of the 2 bosses in action.
I'll get round to trying it myself one day

I'll put up some (crappy quality) vids once I finish some more research on the gameshark codes. When I try using PIECEMEAL in tournament mode the game won't load and with Trapper he can only  play 3 stages. Maybe I can enter one of my saved game files and force the game to use one of the bosses though.

I noticed something more with PIECEMEAL's specials. Sometimes he doesn't do anything and I thought it was sorta weird to use up a special. Turns out it was Outlaw's special but the electricity is invisible (kinda cheap when you think about it). His Hammerhead special is hard to get working too because it's hard to touch another car when you're so tall. The Darkside special is also much different. Unlike the regular Darkside special where you have to avoid contact to connect another ram, PIECEMEAL gets a two hit ram with one ram. So, getting 4 ram hits is a cinch but I'm not sure if you can get more in there. Last thing I found out is that TRAPPER is FAST. Just way too fast. Both of the bosses have such high armours that you don't really need to grab health. Last note is that TRAPPER's specials have less range but because they're bigger and don't move as far away from the target as the smaller version, they're better at hitting. And they do more damage.
