Oh Jeez man you opened up a barrel for me... I know Head On was no Black and all... most of the community here was either displeased with H.O.'s gameplay or simply didn't have a psp... so really theres only a handful of us who played regularly. For me, well i didn't have internet access at home so Black online was never an option. Despite the obvious differences of the two games i find it interesting how similar the online communities seemed to be not to mention the fact that the server shutdowns occured almost side by side and were handled in the same secretive bullshit way sony seems to be partial to.

Anyways the best memory's I have are the countless LMS matches with my clan in all the little deathmatch maps. We had a blast in those things. I loved the fact that they forced you to be very aggresive. The heavy defensive style so many of the top tier players seemed to weild was never rewarding in those maps. Rome DM was by far our favorite we must of replayed that one a hundred times or so... considering that we were only a clan for about six months made the time we were able to spend killing each other that much more precious to me. MisFit may or may not return for TMps3 I don't know if I'm up for being a leader again there were too many decisions I had to make that directly affected the people under me. I didn't enjoy the responsibility that came with choosing loyal ally clans and the rivals that came with that allegiance. I don't regret befriending the Crows by any means... in hindsight I'm just not sure we really needed their props to be recognized by the rest of the community as a valid clan that deserved respect. We went out of our way to treat everyone equally and made it clear to those that felt the need to talk alot of shit that we weren't a group that had any interest in making enemies. It was all about enjoying our time in the room everytime we logged on and people seemed to respond well to that stance. We definitely made more friends than rivals. I'm still in contact with my co leaders so we'll most likely be joining up again when the time comes... I'm a bit torn between the TMA clan that will surely exist but I don't think it would be a problem if I started misfit back up again (I do have TMA in my screen name so yeah)....

What I miss most is just the general comraderie that was so prevalent in the head on community (well at least among the players I ran with anyways) ... There was a loyalty among us that I think all the TM fans here appreciate. It's not often you find that many people who stick in your memory online. All the games I've played online since don't even come close to the number of good times I've had with H.O. .... large groups of random strangers suck all the personality out of a game in my opinion. I love the fact that I recognized almost every name I came across while playing ...that I knew a good 50% of the players personally. The whole next gen console thing does kinda worry me because I'm clearly much more aligned with a small community mindset....yet being a part of TMA gives me assurance that there will always be us there at least.... It's been great to have found this place because I've always enjoyed playing with people I know alot more than the random cheap ass bullshit players you see so often in games nowadays.

RIP old friend.... ::salute::

(what was your screen name by the way mang? clan affiliation? etc... etc... you can't start a post like this and not share anything yourself you know.)

I dont have any memories, but thanks for sharing yours, Order... makes me even more anxious for the new TM to get here and see what the online is all about, just by reading what you described...

I excited to see what kinda TM talent lies outside of the TMA community.... you all watch, some 10yr old asian kid is gonna annihilate everybody the day it hits the servers...

I remember that I would go to the back of the apartments so I could get an access point. I'd win most of the time....until those fuckin cheaters came in and ruined the online gameplay. I think something happened to HO after some time as I wasn't able to go in any match. I heard what it was but I forgot.
