I didn't care for Requiem for a Dream. I never "understand" these films that have huge cult followings like Clockwork Orange and Reservoir Dogs. You know the ones that people rant and rave about being so edgy and overlooked you just have to see it.

Saw Angels and Demons last night. I'd give it a 8/10. Never read the books nor have I seen the DaVinci Code but that doesn't matter. The movie is pretty good at explaining itself. Two things I didn't care for.

1) Tom Hanks is this amazing historian guy that knows everything and can solve puzzles like there's no tomorrow but yet almost all the clues that he finds are accidents or pure luck. For instance, he looks at his watch to see how much time he has left and as he's looking down he spots a clue.

2) Since Hanks is a wiz kid he's constantly spewing fucking useless facts about everything, most of which are during action scenes. They find a clue, act on it, get in a car chase and during that chase he's going on about some fucking statue that Raphael Ninja Turtle built in 1682. Most of the crap that comes out of his mouth are Italian names for things so you have no idea what exactly he's referring to.

This isn't the type of movie I would watch again. Once you know the ending it loses it's appeal but it's good for a watch.

Its funny you mention Equilibrium Order because my friends were just talking about that movie last night telling me I should watch it. Im trying to go through Bales catelog of movies so I think Ill pick this one up.

That Bully movie you are talking about P7 is fucked up but the people just act so stupid in that movie. Its like normal people dont act like that. The entire movie those kids just do stuff and make decisions that I just cant understand which in turn makes it unbelievable. Bad part is I think its based on a true story or something, but even then Im pretty sure some things were changed around to make it more exciting.

Kids is a classic. I havent seen that movie in so long. I dont even know where to find it as Ive never seen it anywhere in a long time.

Equilibrium is like a better Matrix and V for Vendetta combined.

It's an amazing movie and the first Christian Bale flick I ever saw.

Good movies: The Prestige (also bale) and Frequency.  Frequency has the actor that played Jesus and his initials are JC.  He also looks like Christian Bale and Kurt Warner of the Cardinals had a baby and named him JC.

Anyway those movies rock.  And I want to see Angels and Demons.  I will probably read the book first.  I don't read often, but Dan Brown is a great author.  I read DVC, and it was a lot better then the "good" movie.  The movie could have been better but I think A&D might outdo the first movie.  I know what you mean about Hanks though, he's always spouting shit off at the top of his head because those were facts in the book, not necessarily spoken by the actual historian.  In that respect the books and movies are different.  Makes it seem laughable in many situations.

"Did you know this Smith and Wesson this man is pointing at me was probably made in Germany, not the US like they say, because it's made by a certain metal alloy only found in Germany" and you're like SHOOT THAT MOTHERFUCKER.

HaHaHa Kilrgrn that's a pretty good way to describe Equilibrium. It had me thinking Gattica personally don't even know why I can't even remember what that movie was about really ... I just know it was a utopio'n society gone wrong. I'd like to see the early stages of how they actually convinced everyone to take the sense killing drugs.

and btw that scene where he kills all the guards because they found the puppy he had stashed in his trunk was fucking awesome haha.

You know I've noticed a really odd trend nowadays... I'm not sure when it started but they arent showing trailers on TV anymore.. well some movies get them but everytime I go to the theatre literally all but maybe three or four I've never even heard of. I suppose this is maybe due to all the exposure films get online now I don't know. It seems retarded to me I spend alot more time watching TV than I do sitting in front of my computer. That Angels and Demons movie you guys are talking about is a perfect example. I haven't seen a single trailer for that so I don't have a clue what it is no fricking idea. What's the deal have promoters just gotten dumber or what?

Equilibrium has my approval.

Speaking of movie trailers. My movie last night had a start time of 10pm. The movie didn't actually start until 22 after. Why am I watching 22 minutes of fucking trailers? Why aren't they playing these while I sit and read their shit ass magazine? I've seen the Terminator, Transformers and that fucking Will Farrel piece of shit trailers at least 20 times, half of which were from previous visits to the theater. How about we put some commercials while the movie is playing to break up the monotony UH!?!? Fuckalucka!

Well actually, depending on what theaters you go to there actually are commercials before the movie and trailers. The one near my house plays like full blown tv ads for things like coke or pepsi along with some other stuff before the trailers even start. I think its a Regal theater so that might be why. Last two movies Ive been to were in different theaters though and I dont recall seeing any tv ads. Now that I think about it seems out of place that there wasnt any because Ive kinda gotten used to it.

They built a new theater by my place that has shitty reclining seats (because they don't stay reclined. You have to push yourself back on your own) and the arm rests can go up and down.

Equillibrium is an awesome movie.  Definately recommend it.

Bully was a good movie. Yea it was messed up. This was also based on a true story. It just goes to show you how bad kids can be. Thats why I will not be having any anytime soon, especially in Florida.

Kids was a good movie. Reminds me of my childhood. Except no AIDS. My current friends were shocked by the movie, all I said after watching it with them is "good times"

We got an AMC near us we go to. They have these little movie trivia questions and facts, and quotes. It's entertaining up to the point it comes around the 2nd time. Then by the 5th or 6th time your just going....."Ok...can we have the trailers now?"

Then when they get the trailers going, it's like Synthr said. 20-30 mnutes of them. I guess it must just be cheaper to flood the market with trailers through the theater.

I don't really see trailers for movies that much on TV anymore either. Just the huge budget ones really. All these small, unknown flicks seem to only be in theaters.

They usually do that trivia shit at the theaters here as well but like I said before why not show the trailers instead? I know not everyone is present before the movie's start time but come on. A movie is an extra 30 minutes long because of trailers!

Or thirty minutes are missing from movies because of the trailers. I remember when I was a kid almost all of them were two hours long... now almost every one is an hour and a half.  coincidence?

I fucking hate those TV ads. its just bullshit. They could at least show good ones like superbowl ads ya know. I make a conscious effort to show up late to movies so I don't have to watch that shit.

Valkyrie was just an alright movie. I had a hard time sitting through it, quite frankly it was kinda boring in places. Plus if you're familiar with the true story ... you already know the ending. Honestly I'd say to pass on this one.

Might be going to see Angles and Demons tomorrow. Not sure why. Hopefully going to see Terminator Salvation over the long weekend. Even if the movie sucks and is the worst of the bunch ... how can you fucking not see a Terminator movie up on the big screen?

I finally got around to watching Serenity, been on my shelf for months. It's a really good movie. I also saw Star Trek. That was cool, but I never really was a fan

Serenity is excellent.  Firefly, the tv series that preceded it, is just as good.

I'm hoping Terminator doesn't disappoint me.
