oh boy...

I kinda like the idea of having a time bomb strapped to you that detonates after a certain amount of time out of the car. I've yet to see Transporter 3, but it reminds me of Death Race in a way. it'd make sense too.. it'd be like Calypso's way of being sure he's kept entertained in the event of a contestant pussing out. I dont like the idea of having any real way to defend yourself on foot tho. I'd see any time spent out of the car being purely dedicated to getting back to the relative safety of your car.. and if you're shot or your car is blown up before you get back to it, its an automatic disqualification (in that case, the bomb strapped to you is detonated and you blow up)

I love the idea of animations or shorts when a character is killed, but in online-mode, that would prolly end up pissing ppl off.. especially in games with alot of ppl

To PureNRG: I like the idea of a visual finisher for drivers, I was thinkin about Gladiator when somebody had a chariot driven at them with spikes on the wheels and it chopped them in half.

You wouldn't need a vid clip to show this as the engine could easily keep everything in real time w/o breakin up the action- a great way to humiliate opponents I think.

Each car could have it's own close weapon for this purpose maybe?

i could actually just see a character standing up after going flying through his windsheild only to have needles kane drive by in sweet tooth with a combat knife in his hand stuck out the window and chopping the characters head off and laughing hysterically

Wow. Thats actually a pretty interesting find there. Sounds like hes refering to remote bombs. Oh yeah baby. Hopefully those are back with style.

The most interesting part is where it says, "right now you either have to KEEP your man on the remote [which sucks] or try to ___ BACK to the remote bomb when an enemy..." Most notably the "keep your man on the remote" part. The more info that gets leaked here the more it looks like there will be something in the game with characters out of car stuff. Sounds weird but Ill hold judgement until I see something as to whether this will be awesome or not.

I've got a feeling that the 'keeping your man on the bomb' bit might refer to just sticking near it to know when to detonate.

I think it would be great if you had a proper hud indicator that actually let you know with a sound or flashing led when an enemy was in proximity of the remote, maybe like a sonar sound and a yellow light when an enemy is in perimeter damage zone and a louder sound with flashing red light when an enemy is near the critical damage point.

You can quickly detonate with the L3 + R3 no matter where you are in the level and get good damage on an enemy.

At the moment remotes still really require you to keep your eye on them so you either want to freeze and bomb someone or place them in an area where it's more likely an enemy will tread on them,

I find it very hard to judge when to detonate on the other side of the level.

As a balance for this variant maybe a decoy missile could be available (AA?) which can fool the remote sensor and in turn fool the guy whos remote it is to set it off?

damn, I like that.. sonar beeps, indicator lights.. its like having a full-on attack vehicle. this is starting to sound really fucking awesome Smiley

I was looking at old posts made about TMBO.

It was interesting to read that the devs wanted to always have a situation to match another situation.

Like one guy uses a certain attack and you will always have something to defend against it or repel it.

I think after reading so much about tmbo that the devs definitely acomplished this to some extent but there were still some issues.

I know tmho definitely had issues.

I think it will be very hard to get the perfect system balancing with tmps3 but I get the impression that esp are going to have something as bang on as you're going to get.

I'd like to see the return of the Cheap Shot! from Black (double freeze).

Maybe an AA that can cancel shields?

I'd like to add that I also like how the mines seem to be turning out.
maybe they are becoming prox mines for this game?

TM4 had some good weapon ideas but they were implemented all wrong, the prox mines in that game were LESS powerful when strung together! why?
