Pride seems to me alot of the reason TMA was in trouble to begin with. No one has said it yet but Ima go ahead and throw this out there. I'm was thouroughly shocked that Monkey King stopped paying the server bill to begin with... and apparently didn't tell anyone either. Now I'm sure that he simply couldn't pay it for whatever reason... I'm sure he had a reason. Yet not letting someone know is pretty fucked up to me. If someone had known there are plenty of members who would have offered whatever they could in donations to keep it going. Same thing goes for when TMA needs money... no one asks. I was here for nearly a year and a half.. and this current diasaster is the only time I've seen donations publically asked for. There's no shame in asking for help.

TMA is run on a need to know basis.  There is shit as a 4 or 5 year admin that I can't even do.  There are things even NightShade can't do.  The commish's can't even give belts.  All of that is for a reason, and those reasons are Mortimer's whether anyone else likes it or not.  He has ALL of the final say in anything.  When I first started posting, Blair was already banned.  Blair originally came back because I asked Mortimer to allow him to come back for "Brawl-o-Mania" so long ago and he made his own promise to Mortimer to behave after that.

And he did behave for about a year.  Not angelic, but not obnoxious, well...as unobnoxious as a Blair can get.  Then after that year, he went off on TMB and literally broke the rules of the site at that point.  When we decided to get rid of him, he hacked several TMA accounts (including my own) and stole several passwords.

Ever since that day I have always said NO to Blair coming back/posting.  ALWAYS.  It's almost a personal grudge because my account was locked for a few days back then, and I lost some powers because of the whole ordeal.  The entire Voltron sig mess is indirectly linked to that incident itself.

The bottom line is TMA GREW so fucking huge because Mortimer keeps everything logged (as he should) we outgrew the old server, which was insanely cheap.  We upgraded to the big guy servers, the real expensive ones, but we would NEVER run out of room.  "The One" was the original treasurer and was the original person whom got us into the contract deal.  The deal is 100 per month.  The One took donations whenever it was around (which was scarce).

Due to more politics and bullshit then I care to write out, The One lost his treasurer job and it was given to someone who had a pure heart of gold.  Monkey King bought people PS2s, copies of TMB, he recently gave away his PSP because he didn't play it anymore.  He works long hours and makes really good money, and he's just that nice of a guy to go out of his way to make sure some TMA people had their TM fix.

So Monkey King (and his wallet, unfortunately) was burdened with being treasurer.  With 100.00 a month leaving your bank account, how long would you stand up for it?  From what I understand, both Mortimer and Monkey King have access to that Paypal account...so who's to say Mortimer didn't take that 500 dollars from Blair to pay Paypal who may have been reaching close to 0 for the first time in 3 years. 

I'm not saying Blair was needed to keep TMA running for another 5 months, but with Monkey King up and leaving, Mortimer probably only did what he needed to do to keep things running as smooth as it could going into the storm.  Looking back, I'm sure Mortimer knew it was coming because of certain things he said.  Ex: One day I was collecting pictures and stuff for what is going to be used in 2.0 and I asked him if I should upload them to TMA, and he said, "No, you should always keep your files on your PC, just in case".  But who knows, could be coincidence.

I'll jump back to that in a second but about banning...

The reason I will never ban V-Wing is simply because being a closet case or emo isn't against TMA rules.  The only reason you want V-Wing gone is simply because he makes pointless posts, really sucks at debating, and you have severly different opinions on nearly every facet of life.  I am with you on all of that, but none of that is against TMA rules, and he likes the TM we support.  I mean he really believes the Earth is 5,000 years old.  It's not against TMA rules unfortunately to be stupid.  TMA's saving grace is non censorship.  As long as you aren't praising TM3-4, you can say anything you want.  He's ignorant, sure, but he follows the rules Mort makes us follow.

And Mortimer has the final say.  Mortimer asked the Admins about Blair's 500 dollar proposal.  The 4 that were asked (minus ENOS/Mosh) said NO.  Adamantly.  Mort basically said it would be turning our backs on TMA because TMA always needs $$ to stay online.  We even suggested a donation drive, but Mort said there weren't any good incentives around.  There was nothing I could do at that point.  I've always tried to get Blair banned, I even found loopholes in his rules only for Mort to tell me to leave him be for now.

As for why MK stopped paying...

I'm not 100% sure bc I never heard it from him, but the last time I talked to him was in November on AIM, and he told me he was going to get the MGS4 bundle online, and would send me a PSN message when he hooked his internet up to the PS3, which would be a few days.  After that I heard nothing, which I assumed he didn't get the PS3 because it was sold out, or he couldn't afford it at that time.  His son is also getting older now, maybe he is getting or recently got a divorce.  Maybe he lost his good job in this shit economy. Maybe since he stopped posting years ago he figured 100/month is a waste.

But still. Blair needs to be banned from this temp site. Am I wrong? Now that he sees no one is doing anything about it he is spamming these boards again. When the real TMA is back up you guys can deal with him however you want if thats how its going to be, but I just dont see how banning him here, or anyone else we dont like for that matter, is a big deal. What are you guys scared of losing? Respect? Because we all respect you guys, and by you guys I mean the admins and anyone with power. Night and SCoLD, I consider you both my friends, but come on guys.

And how about instead of basing everything on what you guys want or think, how about ask the rest of the fucking community. We are the ones donating and posting here all the time as well. Does our opinion not matter or do I need to pay some more money for it to matter? If everyone else at the site wants someone gone, then why doesnt that matter since the admins and whatnot or worried about stepping on someones toes?

Personally, I dont understand completely why you guys are so affraid of pissing off every single person that comes to the site. You cant please everyone, obviously. What is the big deal with losing one or two posters here and there when you gain great people all the time. If this site had thousands and thousands of members would it be different? Would you guys not feel the need to pamper everyone? Apparently getting new members and growing has caused TMA more problems in retrospect due to having to move servers and actually pay for them, which we cant seem to. When a new TM comes around we will have plenty of new people and they trickle in all the time even when its as dead as it is now.

I know I sound like a dick and I dont mean to but Im just going to speak my mind on this because I will admit the way Blair is being handled does piss my off a little. And as someone whos been coming to this site for a long time I would think my opinions and donations matter as well.
