Hip Hop Hero was so PS2/X-Box.

There was a game that came with a microphone and you could upload or download your own instrumental "beats" and two people would go at it in a freestyle battle. The battle could be heard by anyone that wanted to listen, and the listeners voted on who would win.

There hasn't been a real music game since Mario Paint. It sucks they can't plug a real guitar into a game system. A keyboard Hero game would be hard as fuck in comparison to guitar hero. But you'd probably learn some real songs.

I have to admit the rythem games are pretty addictive. It's just like drinking though. It's fun, but you can't do it all week. Also playing it alone is as depressing as drinking alone for a week straight.

But they are awesome if you just want a fast game to play. You know how long each round takes. It is challenging. Plus with a good soundtrack it is even better.

My problem is that rythem games are the same all the way through. Most modern games allow the player to be creative in their problem solving and combat. Guitar hero is like a very fun memory game. So it hits a brick wall once you skill reaches it's peak.

DLC helps i suppose. But those games are expensive enough.

I'm not upset about this at all. The game will most likely focus on turntablism which is scratching, beat matching, juggling etc all of which are things I'm not interested in. I can't see a game like this being fun since you're not actually doing anything. Sure Guitar Hero is the same way but you're pushing buttons in sequence where as with this you're turning a record a quarter circle counter clockwise? WTF?

They made a game like this a long time ago called Beatmania. What a piece of shit game that was. That game was confusing as all get out. Just look at the arcade machine. It screams "Get ready for a complete mind fuck!"
