lol ... OutOfOrder you can keep your goofy sounding "Death Metal" and I'll stick with the CLASSIC sounding metal of the 70s and 80s
Jesus is on my side with this one!
or your drowning in the shallow end of the gene pool like most of the jackasses who think the 'metal' of the 70's and 80's was heavy.
lol... shallow end of the gene pool? Well if you want to go that rout I guess I can just flat out call your opinion wrong then. The term Heavy Metal was almost literally defined in the late 1960s by bands like
LED ZEPPELIN, DEEP PURPLE, AND BLACK SABBATHThe genera grew in the 70's with
JUDAS PRIEST, MOTORHEAD, AND IRON MAIDEN. In the late 70s it was once again redefined and grew with
AEROSMITH, KISS, THE SCORPIONS, AC/DC, AND RAINBOWMetal in the 80s was defined as
DEF LEPPARD, VAN HALEN, OZZY'S SOLO ALBUMS, MOTLEY CRUE, METALLICA, SLAYER, TWISTED SISTER, WASP, QUIET RIOT, GUNS N' ROSES, and many, many other bands.
We all know the story of metal in the 90s ... the rise of grunge / alternative rock. However the heavy metal genera would redefine it self once again in the late 90s with the whole death metal scene that some of you guys seem to love.
There is your history lesson on Heavy Metal music. Saying that bands from the 70s and 80s aren't
"heavy" just makes you look moronic, quite frankly.
