Yeah I was going to get a part time job at the Game Crazy where I live a while back but then they ended up closing down. We still have one Hollywood Video open but it doesnt have its own Game Crazy like the other one did. Id prefer to rent my stuff from there because they always have games and movies you want in and at least where I live have a better selection of games, but you cant beat Blockbusters no late fees and getting to technically keep the games for weeks on end.

Yeah, the Blockbusters around me stopped doing the late fee thing, but in the end it is probably up to each District Manager and maybe they are still making good money where Xizor is.  I'm only a few hours drive from him though, and it isn't available here.

I'm thinking of joining GameFly actually, because I spend 6 dollars every week to rent a game for 6 days, and granted I usually can farm everything I want in 6 days but some games are impossible to do that with and I usually rerent it and only play it for a day or two max...so GameFly is something I'll look into getting this year.  I probably won't go the NetFlix route because I'm not really a movie watcher, unless there is literally no game I'm interested in around me whatsoever, which is a rare case nowadays.

Honestly the worst part about Gamestop now is that theyve further monopolized the market in the last year by getting these exclusives for what seems like almost every game if you pre-order or reserve it with them. Not that I ever buy my new games anywhere else, but even if I wanted to some of these exclusives are to tempting to turn down. Just this week I got an email from Gamestop saying if I reserve Red Faction 2 with them they will email me a code for an exclusive download for the demo a month ahead of when it actually becomes available on Live. This isnt a huge deal but I already know Ill be reserving it this week just for that.

It could still be cool though, It sounds like there will still be destructible environments, just not deformable terrain (from what I can gather), and maybe the devs have stepped up their game too?
