I was satisfied with GTA V. I actually only bought the game for the online with the intent to casually play the story, and it worked out really well. I bought the game the day online came out. It was pretty cool stepping back into the GTA world as if it was completely online. It added to the realism, something GTA is always trying to improve at. The online even had it's own intro and other various story/character elements.
I felt I got a lot out of what the multiplayer had to offer. Money was difficult to come by at first. Robbing liquor stores. People even stalking and robbing each other. The missions were hopelessly grinding. You had to move up to the bigger ones which started to take shape with taking down warehouses and cracking safes. Some of those missions net $20,000 each. I had 2 other friends to play with some of the time. We could complete the survivals and get 20grand easy, but that took an average of 20min. It was more fun to do 1 lap 1min races. we took turns letting each other win. easy $12,000 every few minutes. When random people joined they would get smoked because we had already been doing the race constantly. That was when the real fun came, when other people joined because then it was all competition between everyone. A couple hours of racing and we all had 150-200,000. Which can easily be blown on a car in price alone. Holy shit I wasted so much money on cars and upgrades, because I upgraded every car. It wouldn't of been such a waste if I kept most of the cars, but the 10 car garage was refilled several times over. That was fun.
I really enjoyed the races.
Speaking of, I haven't been back to check out the DLC that lets us make our own races. I had a few good ideas.
One thing I definitely agree on is that all content should have been released with the game. Not this every few months crap as a lame attempt to keep the player base. They would've had a better player base if they released it all with the game. It would have made an incredibly amazing game, and I don't even have to check I know the heists are still not available. Bullshit. That would have made a fantastic additional way to make money. Instead of making everyone grind themselves into the absolute earth playing those fetch and kill petty cash missions.
O yeah and the helicopters. What in the fuck. I usually like flying the helicopters in all games, especially GTA, and I understand they didn't want people in choppers just buzzing around everywhere reigning death on all those below, but that waving around wildly all over the place was ridiculous. Almost impossible to shoot anything other than another helicopter. You had to get good at taking wild shots at people on the ground. The tanks were also insanely OP. I swear I nailed the tanks every time with the chopper and it never did a thing. As soon as they saw me they just casually turned the turret and exploded me out of the sky.
