Yeah, I myself have been playing Resident Evil 5 the past 2 days, PS3 version though. I don't own it, it's just a rental. It's worth a rental for sure, and it's a good game, but so far it's not nearly as immersive as the previous games. Sheva is hot, Chris is a great character, and the punching system and everything is straight up, basic, and a good foundation.
Besides all of that, the levels feel very linear, as opposed to previous REs being linear, but not literally straight on one course, the lack of really good puzzles (so far) plays a factor also, and I do think the next RE needs to evolve a little more past 96, but it's still a solid game worth at least a rent, more if you're a huge fan of the series. I'm still playing it and enjoying it, but for some reason I can't play it straight for hours, Savage Moon or Fallout 3 will distract me.
