I have 3 different copies of the game. 2 are rips and 1 is the full .iso. No matter what ive tried i cannot get the music to play. Can anyone help me out? (i hope this is the right place to ask for help)

Well, I do have the iso of the game myself. I mounted it, left it mounted, and ran the game through a shortcut I made aiming directly towards the mounted iso from a folder in "C:" called "Program Files" > "Sony Interactive" > "Twisted Metal 2", that way I can also use TMA's skin editor. Having done all that, the game runs perfectly fine with its soundtrack intact. However, I have noticed that the songs will not loop. I am unaware if it's a problem with modern drivers and whatnot, but it doesn't really bug me at all. If you are having problems viewing cutscenes or movies, you need to download the ancient and long-since discontinued "Indeo" drivers.

If you can't get your tracks to work at all with what help I've given to you, maybe your ISO was ripped poorly.

I remember making a few copies myself over 18 years ago and I do remember one of the copies not able to play music, the other two did.

Never found out how that happened or why.

thanks for the replies! i got the music working and my ps3 controller working again. something had messed up the controller so i had to go back and delete a bunch of twisted metal entries from the registry to get it working again. and to get music working, i realized that i had been mounting the image with windows 10 which had the game working with videos but no music. i mounted it with daemon tools, and boom, everything works now!  :D

My last question is, is there a way to make the screen properly fit my computer screen? the closest i can get it is using the 720x480 option(i think thats what it is) but the sides are still cut off a bit. The last thing i needa set up is lan play(that was the whole purpose of me setting this game up) so any advice about that is also appreciated! i read u have to use some ipxwrapper thing. thanks again

edit: and yea my music doesnt loop either. but it does start over once you die.

Oh yeah, that's a problem. You need to edit some shit in the registry afaik, or search for a patch online. Let me know if you can find the answer to either of these before I do, for I am off to seek the source of my claims as soon as I am finished with this post. As for LAN play, peeps around here used to use Kali to play, idk anymore. I only got around to play with them once and that was MANY, many years ago (6 or so). Good luck with that as well.

ha, well if you look at that thread, the last post in that thread is by me saying "that link is dead, can you plz reupload" ive already pm'd that guy too but to no avail  :( .  I read about kali but i think thats for online play. Im just trying to do 2player lan. But ill let you know if i get it running, and if i ever hear back from that guy about his resolution adjuster program.

Ok, so lan play works great. If you just run off the mounted disc on both pc's it will see the game the other machine has started but wont join it. I had to run the cracked version of tm2 so i could have the ipxwrapper stuff in the folder (even though im using tcip and not ipx) but then it lets me connect! just played a match :D  last issue im dealing with now is that my ps3 controller has now stopped working again on computer #1. I have no idea what is causing this... I know its an issue with tm2 cuz ive never had an issue with anything else. If anyone has experienced this before and knows how to fix it i would appreciate the help. Thanks again!

Ok, i found out that somehow the controller simply got turned off in the TM settings, no idea how. So everything is goin great now but im still trying to figure out how to setup online play, preferably with hamachi. Will have to mess with this more over the weekend :)
