Title: Return of the TM B universe
Post by Celtic Thunder on 03/24/18 at 08:30:20
Twisted Metal: Black`s bleak, pessimistic universe was one of the most memorable aspects of the game and remained unvisited aside from the online version, and TM B Lost, which contained a few of the levels of the cancelled Harbor City, which also featured Where Are They Nows? of Black`s contestants. If Black returns in some form, video game sequel or not, in which form of media will you look forward to seeing it the most?

Fave game ever, but I’d rather it stay solo. Twisted does better as a property when it’s more universal.

In my honest opinion I would have loved to see the product Harbor city could of come out to be. The concept was interesting, if not a strange departure from Twisted metal.

Though, I agree with Mal. Where this series shines is it's one off mentality.  Even if there are some slight connections or nods to the other games here or there.

From what I played from the Harbor City demo, I would like it to return to that. It's not going to happen because of the years that have gone by, and how technologically better games have gotten since then. Just the feel and atmosphere, and I think that could work. I could deal with something brand new out the box as well too.

I think to bring the franchise back by the safest financial way possible would be by book. Movies can be way more expensive than game development but, the drawback to a book is if it even gets any recognition, or even gets to publication. Also who the hell could write it?

I know the comics that were released and that are out there were pretty cool too. They also seemed pretty popular among fans. I know we have posts about them right here on TT Wall. That's another good route to take to see if there is still interest.

It's a strange place TM is in right now. It's in the same damn box as Darksiders and Legacy Of Kain series.
