Good question :)!

Unfortunately, the official "PlayStation 2 Classics" emulator isn't capable of emulating the PS2's network adaptor. So it's currently impossible to play online-only PS2 games like TMBO on non-backwards compatible PS3 consoles that have been jailbroken.

The lack of network adaptor support probably isn't a technical limitation. But given how many years have passed since the aforementioned PS2 emulator was hacked, IMO it's highly unlikely that any hackers will ever manage to add network adaptor support to it.

AFAIK these are the only ways that can be used to play TMBO at this time:
  • Fat PS2 console with official network adaptor
  • Slim PS2 console
  • PSX (DVR) (via FMCB... maybe)
  • Backwards-compatible PS3 console (ones that can play physical PS2 discs)
  • PCSX2 (not as ideal as the other options... especially if playing with many players)

I do understand why you link a quote of whoever replied to you but, it's not really necessary here.

It's not like we have 50 replies within one post, and no one should have a problem figuring out who your replying to. I see it on other websites because the post replies can be massive. Not so here.
