Asking out of curiosity, vehicle ain't that great to play with and twisted difficulty is unironically broken so i doubt many people did it.

I didn't unlock the thing. I enjoyed going with Juggernaut through the rest of the campaign in Twisted, I just don't have the will to try over and over again the last boss (I tried like five times in two different days) until I'm lucky enough in all the things you need to be lucky to beat that stage.

Besides, for some reason I like when I can't use a vehicle in a Twisted Metal game, like Dark Tooth in TM2 or Warhawk in Black.

Yeah i get it, i'm way too patient with this game though. Doesn't help Talon's magnet is glitched (in my game) so this is taking way more time than it should.

There's Hammerhead and Slayer though...

Talon's magnet might seem glitched but it's not. on the final boss fight the key is to collect mega-guns to shoot sweetbots down easy (destroying them any other way takes too long, & you want to avoid using your primary special) & to make sure you always have turbo, because if you run out of turbo, the sweetbots get unattached to the magnet easily because you'll be more prone to being attacked. with turbo you should be able to fly above the clown head easier without losing grip of the sweet-bots.

Warthog is one of the best vehicles in the game and is well worth unlocking if you plan to play online, or want to extend the game's replay value by playing the challenge or endurance modes. In my opinion, getting through the story on twisted difficulty using Juggernaut is relatively easy, and the bosses don't pose much of a challenge once you know how to defeat them. Granted, I've held the top leaderboard time for all of the bosses and for the complete story on twisted difficulty, so I'm definitely a bit biased about the difficulty after playing for as long as I have. Still, Warthog is one of my mains and has a ton of depth to it. You're definitely missing out if you don't get the chance to take it for a spin.

I got Warthog wayyyyyyyy back in 2012 and I think that the only two levels that I struggled with in any capacity were Doll Faces boss fight (Which wasn't that bad) and the final race (Which was awful and took 4.5 hours to do and it was not fun at all.)

I didn't play Warthog that much but I used him once in awhile. Unless you are a completionist I wouldn't recommend trying to get him just because that last racing level is such bullshit.

Just like tmfan89 I got my Warthog around the same time and I too found if fucking frustrating to unlock him.

I remember unlocking four boss characters in Critical Depth, (Great game by the way for PS1), though challenging it was not nearly as hard and SO FRUSTRATING as unlocking Warthog for TM PS3.

Like tmfan89 said it was not worth it.

Another of the many flaws with TMPS3.

I had all the characters in the game.  it was pretty fun to unlock them, to me.

After finding out the trophies were bugged I couldn't give two shits about trying to unlock warthog.

Plus he's never been a favorite vehicle of mine.

I had him on my original account but the last race was ridiculous and I won't be doing that again.

Back in 2013 Warthog was probably a top tier vehicle but certainly not the best.

Warthog is still a good car to this day.

I'm surprised people haven't gotten really good at making him pay for that weak spot under his vehicle. Or do people just not use that ram very often?

Why ram cars when the weapons are so insanely powerful and accurate?

Back when tmx had players some Warthog players would get screwed over because of the weak spot. Most people would use the shockwave special instead but with the crush special if people wanted to use it smart they would use the special in reverse. i would reverse crush so that WH's weak spot would be safe, and then i'd drive forward and sneak in another crush if i could. 

you probably wouldn't find any crappy Warthog players now though because TMX doesn't get new players and most wouldn't bother unlocking WH because it's not really worth it. those who have WH have played TMX long enough to know how to use the vehicle, so if you ask them they'd say Warthog is one of the best vehicles, but in reality WH is really one of the worst for someone who wants to play casually. he's not exactly godlike with the crush/shockwave special like Axel is in TMBO. WH is a bully but a fat, slow car with a weak spot.
