Have you tried hitting the "ENTER" button on your selection? Or did you simply click it?

Tell me, did you download the game? If so, what website did you get it from?

Not sure if this was a bullshit post but... sounds like a compatibility issue.

If you're on a new operating system it wont work.

If you're on an old OS like Windows XP it should work fine...
I assume you downloaded an .iso (image) file and are mounting it to a virtual drive?

But if you are real desperate I can sell you my actual TM2 PC copy for a cool hundred dollars  ;)

Yeah, you'd have a better chance of running it well on XP.

Has anyone else tried running the game on Win7?
I had always understood it wouldn't work so I never tried, but maybe I will attempt it later & see for myself.

Even on WinXP TM2 (and TM1) PC both run like they were high off crack cocaine, with some crazy fast game loading speeds.
Keep in mind those PC Twisted Metal titles were designed for Windows95.

Hi! How are we tonight? Really sorry to hear that you're having troubles. The exact cause of your keyboard and mouse randomly not functioning anymore isn't EXACTLY known for sure. I've had this issue too in a Virtual Machine of mine I use for playing it online.

So my suggestion is if that happens again, press CTRL + ALT + DEL on your keyboard and then go back into the Twisted Metal 2 window. If it still has issues, CTRL + ALT + DEL again and end the task.

Try what is shown in this video, if it doesn't work, you may be out of luck. I can personally attest that to an extent, it worked for me on the context of the keyboard and clicking of the mouse to work, it's just no matter what I did the cursor wouldn't appear so I was just randomly clicking everywhere hoping to God it would just work.

My advice, continued playing of the (unfortunately relatively unstable) PC version of Twisted Metal 2 should be done in a Virtual Machine.

What a Virtual Machine is, if you don't know, is software that basically simulates/emulates a computer, on your computer.

The game works FINE on my Windows 7 starter. I guess the source I got it from was lucky.

Oh you can use it on Windows 7 and up, no problem, as long as you get just the right version, set-up the compatibility settings, etc. It's even better when you use a program like DxWnd or something. [link]http://www.nynaeve.net/?p=52[/link]

This can enhance it, or make it so you can play in a window.

Ask one of the older members if they're around. There is a certain line of code that actually gets screwed up, and forces your keyboard to stop working. It happened to me forever ago. I may even have PM sent to me on how to fix it.
EDIT: Went and checked. Ask Roadie.

I've got problems as well:

1. in the skin changing program, I save my skins, and it says:
Errors: carsdb; shellsbl; tpc;

2. I messed with the volume a bit, now, the volume is stuck at barely audiable, like nearly Zero.

Now, for modding questions:

1. Can you add your own skin into the skin editing program
2. How do you modify sounds
3. How do you edit level textures?
