It has now officially been one year since the TMBO Revival Server went online for public beta testing on December 4th 2014, and many things have changed since launch.

I'm pleased to report that we've been visited by many users from all corners of the globe, with the majority of these new registrations originating from South America. User registration has been pretty decent given the fact we're still in beta and somewhat limiting our exposure to the amount of traffic TMA receives. Collectively all of our users have logged thousands of game hours on the revival server.

New TMBO Revival Server Features:

We now have complete account edit/creation features enabled (create, delete and change password)
Firewall mitigation issues are solved for 90% of situations (this is for room joining)
You may now set a password for your game room and it works
Multiple Playstation 2/3 consoles on the same WAN/LAN/Router are able to join the same game room



Standard features:

All vehicles unlocked from the get go
A functioning 1 VS. 1 mode
No host advantage
Works on PS2 and Phat PS3 consoles
Host settings carry over to the next hosted game
Ability to manually set teams for TDM/LMS*
Manually disable Healths and ENV attack*
Weapon dodging
20 Multiplayer levels to choose from (21 if you include the secret Junkyard2 level)
15 playable vehicles each with their own unique special attacks
*Requires a functioning brain and good memory

Yes the server is in a good state now, I haven't seen a network error in a long time, and every basic function appears to be in working order. Good functionality :)

A true testament to fans love of their games.

1st off, congratulations on the 1 year. That's a mark to its self, and a show that people are still wanting to play TMBO.

Those who know me know I'm not all that tech savvy so if that's the server, holy shit dude. You got that in your basement or something?

Nah, the server is not in my basement, and that's technically what the new server looks like; we did have to get a pretty mean machine after Jaffe set the old server that Sony commissioned on fire:

Yes please find that stuff and join for some old time fun. Also you may need a game that has network configuration ability or the network setup disc itself.

I get an error when trying to connect. Maybe my connection setup is outdated? It's been a while since I played this.

Unless your ISP doesn't like the DNS IP setup we use; the DNS issue is a known issue that some people encounter and it requires a cheat code to fix, or if you're technical, router settings. The issue also happens with the MGO and REO servers.

I'd look into re-setting up your network configuration before going down the hack/code route though.

I found the problem. My Ethernet on the router wasn't all the way in.

Awesome. No problems logging in or staying connected?

No. I played a little with some bots and had no problems. I'm ready to play some matches when you guys are available. I use Manslaughter.

That's very good to know. I am glad you didn't say you use Sweet Tooth by the way because Aced would put you on his list.  ;)


I definitely want to host some matches of DM or LMS even one of these days soon to get some newer players into the action.

Does he hate Sweet Tooth players? :P I have people like DARKFORCE and RoadDie on Skype. You can talk to me there when playing the game with headset. I'm interested in getting good at TMBO now.

Well, ST is his favorite vehicle actually. But yes if someone else uses ST he can be a bit rough on whoever it is lol. (I know from experience...)

The thing is we usually make it so 2 people can use the same vehicle only if they are on opposite teams during LMS.

Those rules will more than likely not apply if I'm just hosting a pub though.

It's not really a rule, but it does make it easier to figure out who's on which team.

We currently 11 active people, but there's other that appear on the server. Also I have a friend who plans on playing soon. Looking to get him setup later this week hopefully.

Yes sir. Dark should be back as well and I'm gonna be late sadly. I still intend to play if there's room.
