Title: PS3/PSN
Post by X-Man on 03/29/09 at 04:53:05
So I bought a PS3 a couple months ago, thanks to Circuit City going out of business. And since everyone's 360s seem to be dying now, I figure it's a good time to exchange PSN names. Especially since I don't have anybody on friends list yet. Mine is BoringK, just like on XBL but without the space. I've got Resistance, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Soul Calibur IV, and MGS4 (Metal Gear Online). I've also got Resistance 2 but I haven't touched that yet and probably won't until I finish Killzone 2.

I honestly don't remember what my PSN screen name is ... I **think** its KillBill20 ... though I can't guarantee you anything. I just picked up RE5 ... I've been enjoying that one quite a bit!

I am simply "Devastation", and as of late I'm playing a lot of Killzone 2, though I own and would be open to any of the other games you listed.

Thumbs up to your signature, X-Man. The Bees/Beads Arrested Development moment is one of the many classics!

Mine is KilrgrnTMA...would have just been plain Kilrgrn, but for the fucking love of god that was taken already. If I ever find out who the son of a bitch was who took my PSN name, I'll fucking eat their throats and vomit the remnants back onto their face.

I know how you can find them. Send a message to the PSN ID "Kilrgrn".

Every time I try and pull something like that off, it never works. The bastard never logs on or some shit. Which really only makes me more furious, because the bastard isn't even using it.

you can totally tell nightshade scooped up his gamertag right when the PSN launched... how else do you score a name like that ? ;)

XBL launched in like 2003 so good luck finding a name not taken there.

Yeah, TruSolja was taken on XBL, but YourHolySavior somehow wasn't.  Go figure.  NightShade and I had our names picked out probably the first weekend of the PS3's lifespan.  I registered mine online a few days before release.

TruSolja on PSN, X-Man.  I sent you a friend request.  I own LBP and Resistance 2 on that list.  I rented RE5 recently but Killzone 2 is somewhere on the horizon.  You probably got a killer deal at Circuit City also.

Yeah, I got mine on day 1, but NightShade was already taken, which pissed me off. I'd have though Devastation would go before NightShade, but no such luck.

20% off, $320. So, pretty good. Probably the best I could've gotten, I didn't see any more consoles there after they cut prices further.

I think I tryed about 15 times or so to get an acceptable form of OutOfOrder...it was ridiculous. I've never retyped a phrase so many fucking times with all randomly different punctuation before. Eventually I just dropped the TMA tag on the end like Nina and several others at TMA...

In a way I'm kinda dissapointed no one ever asks me what the tag means.

I heard they were trying to pick it up after it got canceled actually,or maybe it was Shotime, I don't remember. I think I heard the creator of the show wasn't on board for some reason. Maybe they'll make a movie .

They used to run it in syndication on G4 a while back but they only bust it out every once in a while like with a marathon on Thanksgiving or something. G4 is notorious for showing silly things on certain hoildays. A disfunctional family on Thanksgiving or Christmas (Arrested Development) and a Cheaters marathon on Valentines Day, because thats what I want to do on Valentines is watch a show about cheaters with my girlfriend all day.

It stands for "The Main Atrraction" "The Man Animal"

I get asked ever now and then. Most don't because gamers know acronyms mean clans and shit.

I noticed a couple TMA people playing LittleBigPlanet yesterday.  DSB, X-Man, and I heard of NightShade playing it with a RL friend, so if you wanted to play a couple levels, maybe do some of the 4 player campaign puzzles, or even play new levels online...I'd be up for it.

Can you make levels in groups of 4 now, or was that something else that was promised and not planning on being executed until it's a year too late?

I haven't played LBP recently, but I have a buddy that stops by about once a week and we usually play. It's cool because there are usually at least a few awesome new levels to play every week. Some of the levels being made these days are really epic. Very cool game.

Yeah I snuck into Beta somehow so when it came out, there weren't many levels to play.  I popped it in about two weeks ago and played the best rated levels around and WOW, the effort put into this things were like REAL developer made levels.  Some outstanding work gets put into some of these, like 40-50 hours or work.

Oh, for a minute I thought you meant an addon TO KZ2.

Nothing against the costume and sticker packs, but I wonder if they'll ever release new levels or anything major like that.

Is it because the players are making them on their own? I could be wrong. I know PSP LBP is coming out too and wanna bet it will somehow work with LBP PS3 lol

No, you're right, they are, but even so I'd probably be willing to pay for some new levels with new objects and gameplay elements made by the MM folks themselves. But really they don't have to do that, because you're right, there are tons of badass levels that regular old folks made.

Media Molecule made a Metal Gear Solid IV themed add on with costumes and a level pack that had Five "Acts" like MGSIV.

There was also a God of War themed level pack but I don't think there were five levels in that one.

I wish there was. http://mysackboy.littlebigplanet.com/ that is very limited though. I wish it had more than a few options. Unless theyve updated it since, but i cant verify that until i get home
